My theory is that...after the demise of Rapidshare, the remaining and un-targeted hosters had free reign and they exploited it.
Some of us..I know I have been... are 'indirectly' advised to take Premium Accounts out on some of those dinosuaor sites, instead of waiting to download One Gig in 4 days... If you don't want to get timed out, if your family don't want to use the PC and so on. It may be a consideration. Basically, I'm thinking that not only myself has been 'advised' to go premium on other hosters...so...what is the crack here? Do other Hoster's pay Uploaders in some manner.... points, presents, Christmas in St Tropez? Because, as I said before, if our community is a genuine "Sharing" community, then we shouldn't get advice to take out Premium Accounts from very good uploaders to Hosters that barely, if ever! deliver for a Free User. That's the Carrot and Stick argument.......except the Carrot nowadays is vastly more expensive than RS ever was. I was a Premium Account holder on Rapidshare, for 7/8 years, mainly because it was the Hoster of choice on here from the majority of uploaders...... Going back to the glory days of Tarnwood and his multi-uploads for us 56k modem users .... So I'm not being impecunious. I know Hosting Services are a business, but the service they give for Free Users is abysmal imo. I've only ever uploaded a few pics and clips {via RS} and every one was wrong somehow and got removed I probably just need someone to come round and show me how to upload properly...and retrieve my archives from before we went down...all on my HD of broken PCs and Laptops. And I'd upload every single thing to 1Filchier, because I think they are mental. 2.75 MB per second for a free user If they don't go bankrupt, it proves that we are being ripped-off by the other Hosting Services. I won't name them, but 2 Hosters, that hold "Holy Grail" items {for me} I have always been timed-out on as a free user...I'm not going to pay a year's subscription for 2/3 HG films..it will be easier to get them, and cheaper to pay..elsewhere. Unless 1filchier gets them.... Last edited by Meini Again; May 25th, 2016 at 02:54 AM.. |

As Meini said, file hosters are in business to make money. The way the various
different companies use their strategies to make that money are often quite different. Although virtually 100% of them offer premium services, who they are trying to sell them to aren't always the same. The overall majority of them, seem to me to be trying to "entice" downloaders of their files, to purchase a premium subscription, so as to increase their download speeds which of course would make their downloads finish faster. A very aggravating thing to a great many downloaders I'm sure. 1filchier, and a very few others, seem to have chosen the opposite side to go after for premium plans........uploaders .......of which there are quite a number less than downloaders overall. This is done by limiting storage limits to smaller amounts along with uploaded files not lasting very long before being deleted. So, which is better/which is worse, all depends on which side of the upload/download room you stand on. One can't exist without the other. One fact that remains.......regardless of a business in hosting uploaded files, or shoveling horse shit.......if that business isn't making money, it won't be in business long. |

premium access vs. premium
Quote:
The reason I say that, is what you get for 10 Euros, for 1 year, is alot less than what you get for 30 Euros for 1 year. For 10 Euros, (premium access) files are deleted 60 days after not being downloaded, as opposed to 30 Euros with the premium plan, and no deletions as long as that plan is retained. Just a heads up, in case you think you paid for one thing and got another. https://1fichier.com/tarifs.html |

Hey guys,
somehow lost time track on my premium - it's expired today. Any suggestions for Premium buying with Paypal or other safe methods these days? All the resellers listed on 1fichier site don't look too trusty to me Thanks in advance!
