Hi there. Kevin here. You guys are always yakking about how bad the heat is in Australia at this time of year. I wish I had that kind of heat in Chicago during my summers. I would just use a portable beach umbrella like in these pictures:

I go back to that damn brickyard later this week, you add not 1 but 2 kilns both 248 metres long that operate at between 1100 and 1350 C, plus the temp of the day , trust me, you get sick of heat, I don't mind hot days up to about 37 or 38, but higher than that it's not real good down here in Victoria, when temps get that high and the highest I felt was 47 or 48 the winds are usually very high, not fun at all

Y'all realize that palo5 has absolutely no sympathy at all for you guys. Of course, I have no sympathy at all for somebody who would live where winter is 6 months long and the temps run to -40. But there is no place like home for most of us. The Fates have been very kind in dropping me off in a very comfortable place.

I couldn't stop laughing

But at the end of the day, he would give an arm and a leg to live here

He would, but the question is whose arm and whose leg?

We just spent a week with my wife's Norwegian family. Several of whom live in this town where in winter, it's not only cold as cold can get, but because of it's location in a mountain valley it gets no direct sunlight for six months of the year...except for the town square which is lit by sun mirrors placed on the mountainside.
