T Fly I think you need some Xanax,AmbienCr, or Belsomra?

& I thought I had sleep problems at night!I relax by listening to Coast To Coast AM ,radio from 12am to 4 am,sometimes I don't make it to 4am though, especially when the Ambien kicks in!

I would imagine they are prescription medications that can't just be bought over the counter. I'm not a fan of taking medication and prefer to find 'natural' cures or remedies if possible. I'm already on meds for a couple of health conditions I have so I'd rather not have to add to this list.

OK then try melatonin?Or keep moving your sleep hours up until you can adjust your sleep time.It once worked for me, I kept going to bed later until I "caught" up with a more normal seep pattern.Soon 4am was adjusted to 11PM after a few weeks.

I have thought about that. Keep going to bed later and later until I've gone completely round the clock until my sleep 'rights' itself again.
I seem to be at my most tiredest between 6am and midday and don't usually have trouble sleeping then. If I do have to get up between those times, I feel really awful and will quite likely have to get more sleep later.

I find that if I go to You Tube and play an old F1 race or, better still, an old Indy 500, I fall asleep very quickly.

Many suffer from what you have & some call it a syndrome of some form of a diet problem.Once I heard lack of proteins can do it,or even a sugar imbalance in the body for a late morning & early afternoon urges to sleep.Foods high in tryptophan,ie. tuna,Turkey ,Chicken breasts are said to create better sleep habits & make most people relaxed?

If its a problem of "shutting off" an over active mind ,like I have at night, they say GABA is good & can be found in OTC Vitamin stores.Cherries & bananas they say contain gobs of natural melatonin, that also are said to help.

Consuming some protein or sugars can be worth a try in the early morning AM hours, or a banana or 2?

I've had this all my life & I understand I drove my mother & grandmother nuts when I was a baby, because of the sleep patterns like you have!At 4-5 am I'm often up like a light turned on & the doctor gave me some Xanax, & I slept like a baby till 10 or 11am ,& felt like "supersavage" after a good solid 7-8 hours sleep. Its a prescription drug that even doctors take, it can definitely help with a wandering mind given in the right dosage to compensate for body weight.& if it starts to become less effective in the short term there's lots of info that the OTC antacid pill Cimetidine can increase its potency dramatically?

The usual shit apples here too,5 to 6 hrs, before hitting the mattress no caffine, 3 or more hours before sleep no exercise & no late of TV watching in bed, they say is effective too.

PS, "Otoko", I love your sig pic!

I've noticed some new computer monitors being advertised as being 'low blue light' emitting. Apparently conventional LCD screens emit a lot of blue light which in turn can disrupt a person's ability to sleep normally. User reviews seem to confirm that, I haven't noticed the technology making it to TVs yet though.
