Each their own, I guess.
Definitely not a fan.

Your tastes are yours of course, and perfectly legitimate. For you.
For others, the sight of a pubic triangle is a tremendous turn on: a signal of a nubile female, and as a rule a great colour contrast with skin that looks just fabulous. The shaven look is cold and asexual for me. It's actually a turnoff, though of course a beautiful woman remains so - and hair can always grow back. I hate tattoos and boobjobs much more than shaved twats for this reason.
Anyway, all the rest depends on the individual. I have been with very curly women, and with relatively silky ones. Some had thick hair, some very thin and soft. All wonderful in their different ways. Like hair on the head. Some women have straight hair, some curly. All can be beautiful.
As for cleanliness, it is not prevented by hair. Indeed, the hair serves to protect from skin and other infections. Soap is our friend. Hair can indeed "harbour odours and all sorts of nasties" if not properly taken care of. On the head as well. Or do you propose we shave that off, just in case?
