Still pretty well in the vast majority of respects thank you.

But "austerity" (i.e. sacking policemen and starving the courts of necessary resources) has taken its inevitable toll.

I would add that some rises in reported crime are down to statistical variations - but the destruction of community policing has been a big blow.

And the tories claim to be the party of law and order!

I have to agree with bloke57 life is still pretty good for me, I've never seen any knives or guns being used by vermin at any time in my 58 years and I sleep peacefully every night not worried about some home invasion by armed scrotes.
The vast majority of these bottom feeding knife carrying dickheads are confined to big city areas, they are too lazy or even too retarded to find work so they emulate their gangsta heroes

Sure we have some issues due to policing however it's not all due to cuts it's also about how chief Plods spend the money, we need less money wasted on touchy feely let's be kind to minorities bullshit and "lets wear purple to show support" for sad LGBT flag flying morons, more money should be spent on tackling real crime.
Make no mistake it's not just a Conservative thing, does anyone really think if that limp rag Corbyn got to No 10 that he would make any real difference?

Sorry to say that I have seen a reasonable amount of unpleasant stuff on the streets, both here in the UK and US. I also have a couple of close friends who have been quite badly injured during robberies. Where I live in East Anglia, things are pretty good. Where I used to live in North London, things are pretty bad. You really do have to watch your step around much of London suburbia these days.

There is a very nasty element out there, who think the world owes them a living and they will take whatever they want. We also have reduced and weak police forces across the country, who think they are doing well making life miserable for drivers and stopping people making rude remarks about certain minorities on the Internet.

Today, it was reported that the police clear up rate for burglaries is below 3 percent.
