I'm dating myself here but I started college in the fall of 1981 at a small midwestern school. One weekend my friends and I decided to drive to a much larger city in the same state to party. I have a brother who was in a band that went to L.A., and they all got miscellaneous background jobs in the porn industry, so visiting him would put me in contact occasionally with a porn star.

The last was Sammie Rhodes. The band reformed for one show in 2009, and she showed up, since she was good friends with a couple of the guys.

Oh one amazing meeting was with Marilyn Chambers. For those of you born after about 1970, the name may mean nothing, but she was the star of the classic "Behind the Green Door" a porn film that became world famous when it was banned. She came for a couple of shows at The now defunct Raymond's Review Bar.t She had recently appeared in a Playboy special "Soap, Sex and Success" so I took the photos along for her.
She did two spots and asked at promised at the end of her first striptease she would offer 1 autograph to a,lucky member of the audience, but we had to say why.
I wrote a note saying "I would love to be your chosen member" and I enclosed the photos.
