One other possibility: Lynda Carter agreed to be in the film, but didn't want to appear topless, so a body double was used for the photoshoot and her head added. Not sure if this is plausible though as the role calls for her to recreate the pose during the film! Damn that typhoon! |

Lynda became a "prude" after of her success, so she never will say the truth about this.
Itīs her body (with her face). |

Don't be so negative. She also became an alcoholic prude. Get a few drinks in her, and the truth will come out...

Why the production of a novel rookie actress would be so problematic??!!. I mean: "you can use my face but not my body". She already, and only, had filmed Bobbie Jo, so a movie of Coppola, even with ANOTHER nude scene, would be a jackpot for her in that moment.
All that are nonsenses. |

Not that I don't appreciate Colleen Camp, of course.

I always thought than she wasnīt so smart about her career. She dropped completely the TV for a singing career, in her better years!?!??!. The beauty is not for ever, however you have all the rest of your life for to sing. Specially she, with that beautiful and natural voice. And the facts give me the reason, because she still sings today, but the youth...gone. Iīm pretty sure than after WW, she could have made whatever she wanted on the screen, than she would have another success.

If singing is what she wanted to do in the first place, then it would make perfect sense for her to take that up once she had the financial stability of a successful TV series. And its not like she gave up acting, she had two other series after WW (Partners in Crime and Hawkeye) as well as a number of high profile guest shots in various movies and TV series. Sometimes it doesn't matter how "smart" one is about one's career in entertainment, it doesn't always go as well or the way one thought it would.

No, she did just a few TVīs movies (and the TVīs specials) while she sang. So, when she got tired to sing, she wanted to act again (!!??). And then came "Partners", later. (And so many other shits, if you excuse me my "french"). Too late for to repeat the success.
You think in "I posed for playboy" when she was young...for Godīs sake, in the 70īs (or 80īs) than could break all the ratings, even with no show anything, donīt you think!? |

A small part in a movie, or a TV series where you are the star? Considering you've got a slim resume, they want you to head up a TV series? Nothing would top that opportunity for a young Lynda (and from what Lyle Waggoner said, it went right to her head!). However, if the TV show had not come along, I have no doubt Lynda would have completed doing Apocalypse Now and done whatever was required of her.
