Not exactly a TV stripper, but this dirty blonde in the blue dress looks amazing. One of the comments says her name is Sheena, but I can't find a last name or anyone matching her look on this forum.

I lived in Manhattan during the 80's and 90's and watched public-access cable-TV channels often.
The Robyn Bird show was my least favorite, although it was quite ( unintentionally) funny. She had really bad over-abused hair and the styling was like that of a young teen tomboy. She had terrible make-up. She wore the same outfit for every show ( if I recall correctly) sort of a fishnet bikini top to cradle her saggy boobs. The show would start with Isao Tomita 70's synth music against a cheesy backdrop- very ambient and spacy' and would end with her crown jewel she was so proud to have recorded, "Baby Let Me Bang Your Box" ( SHe could not sing and had terrible rhythm) Her opening dialog seemed unrehearsed as there was large gaps in her forced speech and she would often engage in chats with her camera man. She had a constant and annoying laugh. Sometimes she would play clips from the porno she had appeared in years before. But mostly it was a vehicle to showcase porn stars/strippers. The camera man would always zoom too tight to the dancer so the shot was constantly moving around and missing the good stuff- infuriating! After each one had done their dance they would join her on stage until the end when it was the entire cast of that show being interviewed all together and usually naked. Interestingly enough there was censorship of HER show in the 90's when anytime a genital was touched for self-arousal during the stripping number, you'd see this cutaway of a still of Robyn making an angry monster face. I say interesting because other shows on public access were often more explicit ( like my favorite Al Goldstein's Midnight Blue, which was more of a show) The end of each show had the entire cast dance to "Bang Your Box" where some really bad dancing and flopping around would occur with Robyn always taking a cock in hand and pretend blowing and eye-fucking with it. Trust me, fun the 1st few times after that tediously boring There were other shows on public access ( like the aforementioned Midnight Blue) and some naked interview shows ( complete with spread snatches)but sometimes the interviewer was a really fat naked dude in a beard and it was a bit creepy, other times a really hot chick. Another show that did nothing but show clips of new XXX videos, with critique. There was this one silly show where this really cute redhead with great body would prance around in her cluttered apartment in all stages of undress and slutty clothes while chatting with the camera man as if he were another character. She was terribly phony and un-funny, but I didn't care. Later in the evening they would showcase vintage nudie-cutie loops while some really bad music from that era blared on. Perhaps the real reason for these shows to exist at all were for the 970 ads. Those of you who don't know, 970 was the phone-sex exchange for the region and the ads were as endless as they were varied. The one that sticks out in my mind is the 970-PEEE "the extra E is for extra pee." But most of the ads were like 970-FUCK, 970- TWAT, 970- CLIT etc. Who knew our 4-letter words would be of such good use? Its a little strange to me the system of censorship they employed as it was sort of rated single X. But if a show was more like a public type of health-related-issue ( especially when aids emerged) they could show anything. I recall seeing a show about the dangers of AIDS and swallowing cum and not using a condom, so all they showed were long clips of gang-bang porno films where guys would would walk assembly-line style and unload in a woman's open mouth, while the good-intentioned narrator would tell us how dangerous this was. ( of course thousands upon thousands of women were in danger from this particular scenario!) Not sure if the show was being benevolent or not. Help required
I remember watching when I was 12 years old (around 1982 - 1983) a TV documentary (probably on channel 4) of strippers in England. The documentary was an hour long and (for me) has always remained with me and one of the main reasons why I am fascinated by strippers. There were 3 strippers on the show - one was dressed as a schoolgirl with a hockey stick, another had a snake with her and the third encouraged audience participation.
The story was also in the News of the World but I have never been able to find it since. Would anyone be able to help either find the story or the TV show? Many Thanks in advance, James |

Responding a bit late to this, but - I remember it well. The three strippers were all from the North-East. The programme was called Friday Night and Saturday Morning (or possibly Saturday Night and Sunday Morning). I had it on VHS tape for a few months but my idiot brother taped over it. |

How about this Donahue clip from 1987:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39xAyQJo34Y When it aired, I managed to record part of the show on my VCR starting from the midpoint of the routine by the second stripper shown above. Wow, it was a long time ago. |
