They all worked for me using Firefox with noscript and addblock installed, but I'm a premium member at Filefactory so I'm probably the wrong person to check the links. Lets wait and see how a few free users get on.

Well premium or free it makes no difference, the bloody page will not load so either the signal to the server is no good OR it just won't work in my area-anyway I am really not going to lose any sleep over it, I've been here long enough and downloaded hundreds of clips(not all kept) and all I can tell you is that once Filefactory was good, now it is crap!

Server/servers those files are on are overloaded so the free anonymous and most likely free registered users are locked out till the level of downloading drops.



Its the same story on pretty much all filehosts today at some stage

Outages for free MANUAL users due to the use of automatic downloaders which literally eat the bandwidth like never before and thats before you even get to the rise in the size of the files being uploaded.

Its a hell of a difference going from 100mb links 1 at a time to 1 click at 700mb-4GB

I had a filefactory link that was offline for 2 hours a few days ago

You just need to be patient and persistent or try an automatic downloader

If VEF were to ban each and every file host, every time an individual had
a problem downloading from that file host, VEF would become nothing but
a porn discussion site, because be it a file or picture host, someone's going
to have trouble, be it the result of their own, or the site itself. There's ton's
of tips to avoid the pitfalls of downloading from Filefactory scattered through
out this thread Greenman......many of which I posted myself and know for a
fact to be true that it helps.Take a second sometime, browse through this
thread, and more than likely your problem will be solved.

I am really just not going to bother with filefactory anymore-it doesn't matter what time of day I do it, it just WILL NOT WORK. Thanks for the suggestions but as I said above I am not going to lose sleep over it-once I might have got panicky but I really don't care about clips anymore-perhaps I've been here too long or I am getting older, but the excitement of finding things just seems to have waned. This is my last post in this thread so thanks again all.

UPDATE-tried one last time and I was told it was suspicious and Norton removed it-so there you go I tried-it failed!

Please forgive me for stating the obvious but you are unchecking the box for the Filefactory download manager? I'm just wondering if your PC is trying to download that but Norton is killing it so it appears as if nothing's happening.

I tried that just now and would you believe it, it is downloading a link for once. I don't think it is that obvious to many that don't use that website so often so thanks for that piece of advice.

The download manager is an unnecessary piece of software but unfortunately almost all the file hosts are adding theirs to the download page now.

Exactly. If you want it and you don't have a premium account, you sometimes have to be very patient. When I want an RG, UL or K2S file, I just accept that it's gonna put another inch on my beard by the time I get it. Either that, or you search around for the same link on your favourite host. It's the same as it ever was people.

PS I'm surprised a little than anyone still uses Norton these days.
