Many here I wholly agree with and would list. But to avoid redundancy I'll limit this to those not appearing on the "search this thread" function. It's just too painful to go back to see them all.
How Do You Do --Mouth and MacNeal. Maggie MacNeal was a nice looking young Dutch lady when this piece of tripe came out. Mouth was the Dutch version (and probably inspiration) of Meatloaf. Danny's Song --Kenny Loggins. I really feel that I owe Kenny a severe beat down for this and that House on Pooh Corner song. The Rain, The Park, & Other Things --Cowsills. I have puked while listening to this song. Edit: thanks to the glory of youtube, there is a video of Mouth and MacNeal performing this song. That I feared might have been a bit obscure. Holy shit, this video is bizarre. It's like the video for "Safety Dance" meets Sesame Street in a bar. Maybe you needed drugs to fully understand. . . .

Woman in Love --Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers
Youtube link It was after this song that I was certain TP's career would flame out and he'd soon be forgotten. FWIW, my NFL predictions are just as bad.

Puke
Don McLean only ever has 1 good song Vincent, Starry Starry Night ain't it These lyrics make me puke Starry, starry night Paint your palette blue and gray Look out on a summer's day With eyes that know the darkness in my soul Shadows on the hills Sketch the trees and the daffodils Catch the breeze and the winter chills In colors on the snowy linen land Now I understand What you tried to say to me And how you suffered for your sanity And how you tried to set them free They would not listen, they did not know how Perhaps they'll listen now Starry, starry night Flaming flowers that brightly blaze Swirling clouds in violet haze Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue Colors changing hue Morning fields of amber grain Weathered faces lined in pain Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand Now I understand What you tried to say to me And how you suffered for your sanity And how you tried to set them free They would not listen, they did not know how Perhaps they'll listen now For they could not love you But still your love was true And when no hope was left in sight On that starry, starry night You took your life, as lovers often do But I could've told you Vincent This world was never meant for One as beautiful as you Starry, starry night Portraits hung in empty halls Frame-less heads on nameless walls With eyes that watch the world and can't forget Like the strangers that you've met The ragged men in ragged clothes The silver thorn of bloody rose Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow Now I think I know What you tried to say to me And how you suffered for your sanity And how you tried to set them free They would not listen, they're not listening still Perhaps they never will I don't care if it was a tribute to Van No Ears

'Saint' Geldof must have the worse voice in the history of pop music, sounds like he's gargling with Diher...Dhyor...Dia........Liquid shit. If Vincent van Gogh was still alive he'd cut the other fucking ear off after listening to this tosspot! |

Rhythm is a Dancer by Snap.
I'm sorry, but I can't listen to any song that has the following lyric: "I'm serious as Cancer When I tell you rhythm is a dancer! " I remember when this song came out in the late 80's but it was only last year when I was listening to it that I found it had those lines, which is not exactly subtle, is it? |
