Attention: There is a prevalent email scam happening everywhere where the sender claims to have a password to a site and demands money in some form. Ignore it, do not respond and at most change passwords on any sites you frequent.

Effective immediately, moving or animated GIFs are not allowed in signatures. If your signature has one, please remove or replace it asap. Staff will remove them as and when we see them without notice.

Sincerest apologies to everyone for the recent blackout. VEF and several of our sister forums had a major server malfunction. The database index is being rebuilt from scratch and may take at least several days to be fully restored. Expect major weirdness and lots of glitches in the meantime. I started using it - oh, I think about a year ago - for sucking down collections of pictures. Worked first time for me, out of the box, without having to fiddle with anything. Now I'm coming back to use it again and it doesn't seem to be behaving the same way. I use the "Linkgrabber/Add URLs" function to copy/paste in the URL for the page (or just the posting) I want to get the pics from. But when it parses the URL, none of the imagebam links are recognized or found. Did something change here that I need to use a little differently? Am I just stupid?
