Big Grin If women ruled the world....

According to: Former White House press secretary Dee Dee Myers

If women ruled the world, everything would change, Politics would be more collegial.
Businesses would be more productive. And communities would be healthier.
Empowering women would make the world a better place. Blending memoir, social history and a call to action,
Myers challenges us to imagine a not-too-distant future in which increasing numbers of women reach the top ranks of politics,
business, science and academia.

Dee Dee ... NO!

If women ruled the world, we'd just have the female equivalents of our current leaders! The same sort of people are attracted by power, regardless of what's lurking inside their pants. Believe me, I've had female bosses, and in the main, they were no better or no worse than the blokes I've had as bosses.

Anyway, was it only male MP's who submitted "questionable" expenses claims? Did Hazel Blears change the designation of her main residence for expenses purposes three times within a matter of months simply because, as a woman, she wanted to make the world a better place? I think not.

Well, for starters this site would be closed down by the 'sex police'.
So would absolutely every nude portrayal of attractive young women - no I'm not joking, all the stuff here and on other nternet sites that us naughty school-boys spend many a happy hour wasting our lives poring other the intricacies of buttock, breast and fanny would be declared anathema and hunted down and destroyed ruthlessly.
So would the strip-joints, the brothels etc and all other 'phallo-dominant' places.
So perhaps it behooves us as perhaps the last remaining males ever to have any status to make an indelible, inpregnable 'porn archive seed bank' somewhere in Antarctica where the jewels of vintage porno can be stored for millenia, so that future generations, once sanity and phallo-centrism has returned can enjoy the fruits of good ol'fashioned stiff dicked males being males.

On a related point did you ever see the 'Two Ronnies' series-within-a-series "The Worm That Turned" (circa 1976), which portrayed a Britain dominated by women and the two Ronnies as unlikely male dissidents/free-dom fighters?
As I recall it was very, very funny.
The late, great Diana Dors was in charge of a leather short wearing female Gestapo (the troops were younger and slimmer than her!), and the Tower of London was turned into a male internment camp re-named Barbara Castle.
Comedy I know - but with more than an element of truth.

Dee-Dee Myers-there's a towering intellect...

Seriously, if you'd like to see two different versions on this theme, read Gunther Grass' novel, "The Flounder" or find a copy of the made-for-TV movie by Gene "Star Trek" Roddenberry called "Earth II", featuring the subtle acting of John Saxon.

if women ruled the world there would be no more wars, no more bombs that killed you, only bombs that made you feel bad for a while, but be warned cos there would intense negotiations every 28 days.

There are places in the world where women hold all the power

Only on a small scale and nothing that could ever be emulated in a Western Secular Democracy where its everyone for himself/herself

Journal Article Excerpt

Empowering Women in Villages:
All-Women Village Councils in Maharashtra, India

In 1989 seven all-women village councils were elected in Maharashtra as a result of the campaign
of the Shetkari Sanghatana, a large farmers' organization. A study of three different villages
reveals important gains in empowerment seen in terms of access to work, education, and income,
as well as an overall tendency for the women's councils to focus on issues of sustainable
development. There were differences within villages, however, mainly due to different styles of
local leadership. Within India, in the context of various efforts to attempt women's empower-
ment, the Sanghatana's strategy of mass organizing uniting the women and men of the, majority
of village farmers and agricultural laborers can be contrasted with the "radical feminist"
approach, which often pits women against men, as well as with the "enclave" strategies of some
left organizations and nongovernmental organizations that have limited social impact because
they focus entirely on one section of a community.

Whilst not being a misogynist, I can think of three reasons, against the argument.

Harriet Harmon.
Maggie
Baroness Scotland.
In no particular order.

Surely the mere fact that they were politicians, or they had managed to crawl up the greasy pole & smash through the glass ceiling, would intrisically change tradional nurture, & make them tougher, & of course more cynical, & less caring.

The feministas never reached such a political ascendancy as they did under Britain's New Labour administation.
- This is typified by that god-awful Harriett Harman (Harridan Harperson) woman.
A law (later watered-down) to criminalize consensual, contractual sex (ie 'punting') was successfully introduced by this creature, and that law has to be the most illiberal, oppressive, tyrannical law ever introduced by a modern British parliament. That no male member (pun intended!) had the balls to challenge and talk-out this bill ( 'a la the late Nicholas Fairbairn), speaks volumes.
Of course criminalizing tarts' clients was only the beginning - measures to outlaw strip-clubs are slowly being introduced, and mark-my-words, the feminazis want to outlaw ALL erotica and 'pornography', the anti-prostitution drive was only the first tentative step in a gradual push to totally change the climate of opinion in what is deemed 'acceptable'.
