As for the double standards post. I have visited the U.S. twice....in 1990 and 1993 for the entire time there I did not see one single (or a pair for that matter) breast on network tv.

I'm laid up on my couch today so it's not a problem at all. I like hearing from my Aussie and UK brethren so no worries at all.

They do not allow breasts on network TV here.
It is strictly forbidden and will result in huge fines assessed by a government appointed watchdog, the FCC. No actual Americans have a voice in who runs the FCC. It is a position appointed by the President. Under President Bush it was headed by Gen. Colin Powell's son Michael Powell. Go figure. . He was in charge when America suffered through the tragedy of Janet Jackson and "Nipplegate" during the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2004. How we survived that catastrophe I will never know. Lots of very Christian people here in America who cannot allow such a thing to occur on our TV's. That might make us all sex crazy or something........oh wait I think it's too late for that.

Beck makes $35 Million a year through books, TV & radio, so I'm sure there's people who believes what he says. I'm not a fan at all, so I don't understand the phenomenon. I have to hope someone can vouch for the guy.

When the movie "Animal House" first appeared on US network TV, one altered scene made me realize that there are some seriously insane people at the networks.

In an early scene in the movie, the sorority sister cheerleaders, Mandy and Babs, are discussing Mandy's relationship with preppy frat boy Gregg. Babs asks if Mandy and Gregg are sleeping together, in the movie house, the reply line is "Gregg doesn't believe in pre-marital intercourse." On TV, the line is "Gregg doesn't believe in pre-marital activity." WTF????

"Intercourse", of course, being too blatant for network TV (at least at the time).

another good example of hollywood/usa gone wrong..... is during the original beverley hills cop film. most notably when sgt todd balls axel out in the locker room...!!! the unedited (swearing) version is hilarious, but the edited, safe for family tv version is just crap....!!!

Recently saw a family friendly (Now there's an oxymoron if i ever heard it) version of Tremors with the most stupid amended swear word ever !

It`s said by Kevin Bacon when they`re stuck up on the roof of the store and learn that the survivalists have killed one of the graboids . Really like that film but this time hearing that badly dubbed on non-swear word spoiled it somewhat. Worst part is it's not even like they were showing it early , it was half eleven at night by that time

Then again i've seen many five year olds staying up that late .

Mostly as thanks to the flames from the cars they've set on fire outside my building they're well illuminated

Another censors gone mad moment...albeit because of the "Just Say No"/War on drugs period of time.
This classic line from Caddyshack:
Ty Webb (Chevy Chase), the club's resident ace golfer, talks with Danny: "Do you take drugs, Danny?"
Danny: "Every day."
Ty: "Good. So what's the problem?"
Has been edited for tv viewing in the U.S. to this:
Ty: "Danny, can I ask you a question, do you do drugs?"
Danny: "No."
Ty: "Good boy."

That's one funny scene taken away from U.S. viewers.
