Truth be told a month ago I allowed myself to deliberately drift away from the woman I was slowly getting to know. Because if I've learned anything. It`s to now (Finally ) take very seriously how they think in comparison to how I think. To be aware of that before getting seriously involved.
The final trigger was when walking down a long street of houses and seeing this girl of about seven I suppose. Sitting on the ground with various toys for sale. I asked what she was doing and she said "Trying to earn some money to help my mum ".
I believed her. Totally honest little girl trying to earn some money.
There was nothing for sale anybody would fight over to buy though.
After we`d walked several paces I felt I just had to go back and buy something. But pay over the odds. There was a Spiderman bubble bath figure and although I far prefer Green Goblin to Spidey was intending to give her ten pounds for it.
Man alive you should have heard the woman react to my plan.
Long story short (It could happen ) according to her the girl`s mother might be a drug addict. That the girl was begging and if I gave money it`d only encourage her.
Nope I don't get what that means either
Isn't encouraging others a good thing
Plus she wasn't begging she was merely sitting there with a small selection of items in front of her for sale.
Stupidly I allowed her nagging to dissuade me
Yet all I saw were the positives and all she`d seen were the negatives.
No thanks. Known enough negative women.
I've walked the same way often since only not on a Saturday when this happened.
Next Saturday I shall and if she`s there I`ll buy something !.
