Worse than Leslie Nielsen speaks volumes as that was one of the worst ever made even if it was a comedy spoof

Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen was mentioned in Sam's original post as one of the "top fifty"; Max made his own views known later...

But on the Twilight theme, there are two who actually do deserve an honourable mention. Most of the traditionally carnivorous Volturi clan come across as rather gay in the film New Moon but their leader Aro, played by Michael Sheen (who played Brian Clough in The Damned United) is creepy, sinister and quite cool. I found his effusive bonhomie and welcoming demeanour was rather effective as a way of communicating menace. This guy doesn't need to act in a threatening manner; he just kills people if they cease to be amusing.

The other vampire character in this series who I thought to be worth a second glance is the decidely cute Alice Cullen, played by Ashley Greene, a very good looking young lady indeed.

I am very partial to a pretty face and I doubt if I could resist for long if this young vampire wanted to drink my blood. In fact, Ms Greene is a good actress who conveys the sophisticated and yet rather fey and sinister charm of this stylish lady vampire effortlessly. Alice's second sight, her random visions of future events, is often more unsettling than her rather darkly comic bloodlust; though I do think she had one of the few good scenes in a poor movie when she greeted the heroine with a hug, then recoiled and with a decidely ambiguous smile commented:

"Oh my...you do smell good!"

Seldom remembered but a pretty decent virgin blood draining performance , albeit not exactly faithful to the original story film.
