Caviar.

Had it twice in my life (not my choice, I wouldn't order it at any restaurant or buy it at any stores, it was available at a couple of dining functions I attended) and I just can't get the big deal about it.

Oversalty, fishy.....and only the squeeze of lemon juice over it made it semi palatable.....

The only 2 occasions I had it, no one ever suggested to me to put lemon juice on it.

They had me put it on crackers.

That's what we did too-and then squeezed a slice of lemon over it. it was -how can I put it-interesting....but I've never felt the need to repeat the experience, likewise frogs legs and snails are massively overrated....and I've had them as well..

[Cut to: Elzar's Fine Cuisine. Leela strolls out of the kitchen, whistling casually. Elzar serves Zoidberg.]
Elzar: Here you go, big spender. Foie gras and caviar.

[Zoidberg sniffs the food.]
Zoidberg: Goose liver? Fish eggs? [He eats it and spits it out.] Pah! Where's the goose? Where's the fish?

Elzar: Hey, that's what rich people eat. The garbage parts of the food.

Zoidberg: I ate garbage yesterday and it didn't cost me $300! I'm not paying. [He puts on a top hat.] Farewell, good sir!

I had frog legs at a Chinese restaurant one time.

It was stir fried with fresh ginger, fresh garlic, fresh scallion, dried Chinese red chili flakes and it was good.

Escargot I had several times and it's hit and miss for me.

Some restaurants make it very tasty you wouldn't think what they were while you are eating them and some restaurants just can't make it properly and you would had to eat them with your eyes closed.

In my case, the caviar was while at university, the frogs legs and escargot were at the best french restaurant in Noumea....escargots? personally, if I'd chopped and diced the soles of my army boots and sauteed them in butter with plenty of garlic and a few herbs, the taste and texture would have been indistinguishable....the frog's legs weren't half bad-those I could eat again....

Fashion.
When I watched a little bit all the comedy in France the "high class fauna" and the media made when Yves Saint Laurent or Karl Lagerfeld died, I really thought it was overrated.
Those guys were not genius, not even real designers.
They were unable to really draw well.

Grossly overrated:

Jesus Christ. He would have been fine teaching philosophy at a small private college, but the damn Romans had to make a big deal.
