Someday in the far future or maybe sooner an advanced, though savage alien race visiting Earth might just decide to do the same thing to us. It will be like when the Conquistadors discovered the native people of Mexico, and we will be like the natives of ancient Mexico.

I find it funny that you say British guns rather than your Australian or American grand-parents. Suddenly the British invaders became Australian or American and then became blameless.
