May I ask why? Is my aftershave too strong, or my cast iron opinions and posts.

What really pisses me off is being told "you were a Mod once" well yes 6 bloody years ago when it was a lot different to today's Modding, so having that quoted at me in PMs all the time annoys me.

Anyway, reputation is everything here and mine was sealed a long time ago. I have nothing to prove to anyone, my record speaks for itself and I am not looking to be involved in a popularity contest. VEF will survive because like me others CAN be bothered to stop lurking and contribute.

On a personal note I always said that if Inglorious left then eventually I would do too, SEVEN years at a site it perhaps too long, and I have exceeded everything I set out to do, so perhaps the time has come for me to take my leave soon, I feel this is really my FINAL year here. I would like to see you become a Mod, I think you would be very good.

Actually, being denied access to a section by a Mod last week for the first time ever(30 days which seems to me rather extreme- has broken this particular camel's back-forget the year, 15,000 posts, which will be a major milestone for me, is my final goal and then I am off-I am tired and had enough.

Its not personal imho it just the rules

I'm sure it hurts but then being told what to do by strangers always will feel like your parents are standing over your shoulder

Accept the mistakes and move on

Personally If I were you i'd head here

Your style of posting is perfect for this thread - even clips are OK

You might want to start a News Paper Scans Index thread in VET and link to everyone you have posted in the models threads

or

Give life to this long dead thread

British Bios - started in 2010 - only a handful of models - screaming out to be added to for someone with the knowledge - would be quite unique -

rare content + bio info that others could add to

All I will say is when using the conventional model threads become a time consuming
pain in the ass coupled with Mod Hell broaden your horizons

You'll be doing everyone a favour

I've got 2 main threads in 2 different sections I post in now
and neither take the time that is required to properly post in a models thread.
No one gives me any grief though i occasionally miss rule changes and they still dont give me grief.....no doubt I will now be receiveng a quick inspoection

It was Marlon's - 'Don't know where else to put them' small vintage sets in

It was all about how I could bypass the wasting of time required to post in model threads
though I still do for a handful

Hmm I am not so sure, they've been waiting to stick the knife in ever since our esteemed Admin leader stepped down. He wouldn't have made it so long. I consider their ruling to be unfair and draconian - I'd have taken an infraction instead, easier to bear but you know what SOD EM!!

Anyway on other topics I will have a look at that thread. Curiously enough I did do my own 'bios' on some page 3 girls using MSWord and a picture some years ago so I might find somewhere to upload those so others can download them. I might send you an example via PM-watch for that shortly.

I wonder sometimes what other members think about reputation-do they worry that they aren't popular or perhaps try too hard to please. Does reputation matter, I mean it's not like Twitter or Facebook where you are right out in the line of fire of public scrutiny (I am only on Facebook to keep in touch with friends and family anyway and only post stuff that they might find interesting). Does reputation count a lot in people's lives - when I was young it took me a year to gain trust on Friends Reunited, especially with women but as long as you are honest, don't reveal too much to begin with and are polite, courteous etc you can't go wrong. Do MODS worry about THEIR reputation (past and present) Reputations can be made or broken but always remember this YOU KNOW THE REAL YOU, THEY DON'T KNOW THE REAL YOU and only judge your online persona but there is a real person on the end of it.

Like Bruce Springbok I don't lay awake worrying about it, I'm a naturally bad sleeper.
As the Bard himself wrote

Cassio: Reputation, reputation, reputation! O! I have lost my reputation. I have lost the immortal part of myself, and what remains is bestial. My reputation, Iago, my reputation!

Iago: As I am an honest man, I thought you had received some bodily wound; there is more offence in that than in reputation. Reputation is an idle and most false imposition; oft got without merit, and lost without deserving: you have lost no reputation at all, unless you repute yourself such a loser.

I think the Moor's got a good handle on it there, it's how we see ourselves that counts.

The only reason I wanted a reputation was so I could get more screen-estate for my avatar - that's how shallow I am.

However, I was moved recently by the words of another member in another thread, who said that he was 'going to be both brave & strong here' - that's what I've always tried to do on the occasions that I've got discouraged, and I think making that effort is more important than how its results are actually received.

I personally don't care about what others think of me. I try to be a good and respectful person and have fun.

We need you Greenman - don't worry, be happy.
