... But I wanted to hear what Hiram will do when all the U.S. prisoners are displaced when outback becomes a repository for the worlds nuclear waste.
Both major political parties have been pushing for this for thirty years, relinquishing native title whenever it suits.

I guess the crims can form another political party?

I think regardless of the outcome of the Ashes Aussies will still love to hate/hate to love the beefy one.

Shhh! Tassies meant to be seen and not heard.
Or in the case of many maps of Aus not even seen..

Too obscene?

Are you talking about Hiram Big, my fantasy alter ego. He does not involve himself in Australian politics. As for my desire to dump all of America's worst criminals in the soon to be radioactive outback. I say "Let em fry"and good riddance!

An underwhelming name to win the Melbourne Cup.

I don't even know the name of the horse that won
Hate horse racing
I love horses, owned 2, love gambling , but the 2 together I can't do

My Missus has gone away for a few days and I'm free to do whatever I want be a bum
I was asked by a few friends If I wanted t go, they get the same answer every year ... No way I went to the Geelong Cup once sometime in the 90's, just found it boring .... then once on a Saturday night to Moonee Valley, same thing ..... B O R I N G, all I did at both was get drunk, can do that anywhere without being surrounded by wanna be wankers

So its Melbourne Cup day

Great day for no crowds about

The event reminds me of the grand prix - hyped to within an inch of its life

Plenty go but very few for the sport I suspect

Went to grand prix adelaide 1986-1995 and never saw a car

All about being seen

Just like the 20/20 big bash cricket - thousands spend all their time out the back
No interest in the sport

Exactly, I'd be willing to bet that 85% of those at Flemington today have never actually been on a horse, I don't mean just a fun ride or at a park or anything, I'm talking about actually riding it. The sort of crowd that would be horrified watching someone hold a horse by the mane to stabilise themselves on a steep incline ... the wanker crowd that would think it hurts the horse
Sorry, I just despise the entire industry

Bunch of wankers with champagne

Some do have great tits though

They dont call it the Sport of kings for nothing

My mother hates it with a passion

Her father was a habitual gambler - he had a good job that paid well but as the tradesmen do
they do like the flutter - in his case he would have lost the house if not for his wife.

My mothers Sister picked up the bug and was into horses & casinos non-stop

Married a self made millionaire who started from nothing and between them turned a profit on venture after venture and had a lot of loose cash and stress to release
what are you to do?

You do a John Singleton - win the cup and shout everyone at the bar on the course

Talk about stroking the EGO

In their defence i would guess their much like the higher eschelon smart people who need the high risk high reward to feel excitement , racing is to some like base jumping

My whinge - fashion - every event now is like marketing ad exercise

last seasons hits were only in fashion 3 years ago but the corporations paying slave wages need to increase their share prices

This season we think this is in but next year we'll be striped
It goes round and round but very little changes

I havent seen one decent real advance since the Bikini (I dont say this in jest)

Horse racing compared to fashion is like sweet smelling manure
