Some weeks back, downloads via Firefox or Palemoon ran smoothly, both with blockers enabled such as UBlock and NoScript respectively. I guess these blockers may cause issues from time to time Right now, using the a.m. browsers, downloading from 1fichier is a PITA. Temporarily switching to Internet Explorer has helped...but only when it comes to grabbing "fichiers" .

Truemate's problematic files downloaded without a problem for me in Chrome - as a non-registered user (Europe). So my guess would be something on his computer.

But still weird that some ppl can download as free user hasslefree, using FF and/or Chrome, while others can't.

No two computers or configurations are the same, even with identical hard- and software. The same goes for network connections. I've built computers for years so I know this for a fact, from experience... there's too many factors in play that determine how things work, or don't work.

The 1fichier site was totally redesigned as you can see including a different countdown when the site is busy.
Many times when this is done, the site will have compatibility issues with different browsers depending on how the code was written. This happens with most sites because they are written to IE standards and not fully tested with other browsers. I've seen this with numerous sites and it usually takes time to work the bugs out. This is also exacerbated by the fact that there are any number of addons for browsers that people use that could affect how the site responds. It also depends on your ISP. Some may have routing issues to the host depending on the backbone the ISP uses. As far as management at this forum not trying to do anything about this, I have contacted them numerous times with issues I have seen, but management here has no more pull with them than any of you. Also, as far as Filefactory, uptobox, and Filesflash, I have also had numerous complaints about them from users. Every file host causes issues for many members and we have nothing to do with any of them. We are always open to adding new good free file hosts. So if anyone has more suggestions of free hosts to add other than the 3 mentioned above, let's see it. We'll check them out and if they're worth using, we'll add them. Don't suggest any cash sites, they all suck.
