They seem to be pushing the envelope. Basically, the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, etc. are all approximate increments where more and more money is at stake. It seems to be a no brainer for a lot of women.

Such magazines had no effect at all on my respect for women, the level of which (both then and now) depends on the individual woman in question. Real people that I actually know either gain or lose my respect depending on their personality and actions.
The girls of Mayfair or Knave (my personal choices during my mid to late teens) were, as far as I was concerned, paid participants in an act of fantasy, no more real to me than characters in a film. I understood that these fantasy girls in fantasy poses with fantasy biographies (and sometimes fantasy names) were *portrayed* by real people, in the same way as characters in a film are, and if I had met any in real life then I would have respected them (or not) based on their real life personality and actions. |
