Attack The Block. A motley group of teenage thugs and a lady they mugged (the future Dr Who) band together to protect their block of council flats from savage aliens. A blend of scifi action, laugh out loud comedy and social commentary. British film making at it's best.

Wish I could agree. I thought this was a truly apalling attempt at film making, more in keeping with the type of stuff that The Asylum churn out. Hated it!

Kind of fitting for this week since tomorrow is the 49th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. A favorite very underrated movie with Sam Neil and several other noted Australian actors. While it doesn't get all the facts correct, it's still a great movie.

And last night The 2016 remake of The Jungle Book. Not a bad version of a story I've seen several times when my kids were little. And they did manage to squeeze in the Bear Necessities.

Fairly wooden, considering the line up imo and they all rode off as friends at the end.
