During P.E. lessons at school, there was a female P.E. teacher who often took a shortcut through the boys changing room at the end of each lesson. Back in the early sixties, I went to a "Secondary" modern school nearby. My memories of that place are that most of the predominantly male teachers were spiteful bastards, who would punish you for the least reason, if you stepped out of their perceived line. One particularly spiteful sod would grab the hair on each side of your head, twist it and literally lift you off the ground by the hair. I rather suspect that he's dead now, but if I met him again, I'd like to punch his face so hard that his teeth would fall out. I never heard of any of these spiteful buggers being disciplined or sacked.

My wife attended Catholic schools (primary and secondary) and it was years after we married she told me about the naughty goings on she knew about. The all-girl Catholic school in my hometown produced some pretty messed up girls... it showed when you dated one of them.
