Default Image Grabber II Won't Open MP4 or MKV Files

I've been using Image Grabber II for several years to produce screencaps of AVI files. Today I created a video using an MP4 codec and Image Grabber will not open the file. I also tried opening an MKV file and Image Grabber won't open this format as well. Any way to get Image Grabber to work with these formats? If not, any suggestions on screencaps freeware?

There is a nice plugin for creating screencaps in Media Player Classic. AFAIK, it works also on mp4īs and mkvīs

Have a look at their site

Can't get that to work on my version.

You'll just have to trust me

VTM does show the info but you don't have as much flexibility about which images you choose.
