. . . January, 1991, with the cover, a tiny pic on the contents page, and a seven page spread inside. Here's the cover, followed by the seven pages:

And here's the tiny pic from the contents page, followed by scans of the photos framed by borders, but without the borders, and the two pics taking up less than a full page:

The pics look like they might have been photographed as part of a story (does that red cape or whatever have a red hood?), but the magazine didn't buy, or print, enough of the photos to make the story obvious. And what's that thing she's holding that looks like a wand? Or maybe a crossbow bolt.

I wonder if other pics from this shoot might have been published elsewhere and if they might make an overall story line obvious. Or maybe I'm just trying to read too much into a simple photo shoot of a beautiful lady . . .

P.S. Thanks to eagle-eyed Greenman, who has suggested that the thing the lady is holding is the handle of a ladle. And what I thought was a necklace or something glittery hanging from her hands is actually water spilling down her tummy. My only excuse for being so dense is that all the ladles I'm ever seen have flat metal handles with a hook on the end for hanging up when not in use. And many more thanks for joining the halves of the two-page photo.

I think you will find that wand or bolt is actually a ladle for the water

I've noticed that reprint mags don't always reprint all of a spread as it originally appeared, so the previous appearance in High Society may have had more than six pages. On the other hand, there is a centerspread included here, and the part that reprints usually leave out is the centerspread. That's the case with a Carol Cummings spread that's reprinted in this same issue of this magazine -- Ms. Cummings' centerspread which was in the original appearence in the May 1989 High Society is missing in this magazine's reprint.
