Default Bikes you've had, got & wish for.............

The car drivers have a thread so time we had one...................!!

What bikes have you owned? What do you ride now? What's your dream bike?

My first loves............Katy Manning and a Yamaha RD200...........

A brief flirtation with a KH250 then family and no more bikes! in 1999 my poor old Aunt died and left me some 'Money to be frivilous with.........'

A Harley Low Rider I toured the South of France with and a Kawasaki ZX6-R.
The Kwak scared me rigid.............so bloody quick!! So traded them both in for a Harley FatBoy. Kept that a few years and then fancied something to have fun on!

This baby is so much fun! It's a total blast!! Love it to bits..............and the dream bike?

Something very UN-PC, Un-Green, but it has to be the 16 mpg KH500 triple........

Yeah baby.........................

Fine to have this thread started, Hilts

I bought my first bike in 1991, a new BMW R 80 with 2 cylinder boxer-engine. Unfortunately this bike has been tremendously un-reliable from the first day but I got used to it until 1997...

...and then went for a new Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 S, which I still own today and really makes fun. Changed the wheels to rim, added a Supertrapp-exhaust, an open AirFilter and some carburettor-modifications, also have a single-seat instead of double.

Judge yourself:

No further wishes - my dream has been fulfilled with that beauty...

I had a Vespa 40 odd years ago - does that count as a bike?

Remembering my bicycles I had a CHIPPER which was the younger brother of the CHOPPER and youngest below the TOMAHAWK which my sister had, then as I got older I had a PUCH PAVEMASTER which had 10 gears, perfect for hills etc. I actually wanted a GRIFTER (the big brother of the STRIKER and BOXER) because it had gear changes in the grip handlebars and would have been more like a motorbike. I used my Chipper for stunts-my friend and I used to jump over ramps of bricks, with the ramp as an old plank of wood-the Chipper was light and manoeuvrable and strong so I moved the brake cables from under the grips to horizontal like a motorcycle-my favourite cartoon was DEVLIN at the time-a motorcycle stunt rider in the vein of possibly Evel Kenievel(sp?)

While it wasn't mine, I treated it as much... My 1889 Harley Davidson Electraglide I rode almost every day except for inclement weather for two years... And they paid me to do it!

I'm bike-less right now, but plan on buying a HD Road King this winter...

I had a Suzuki Bandit 1200, that I spent a fair bit of money on, sold it a while ago.I've just got back from two weeks on the Isle of Man watching the TT, so now I need to get meself another bike, I'd love an early Harley say a Flathead or a Panhead, but I can't afford one right now, so I think I'll get meself a Supermoto of some sorts always liked 'em and now seems like the right time to get one, before I get to old!
