She is the daughter of the director Wolfgang Liebeneiner and the actress Hilde Krahl. Johanna Liebeneiner got drama-instruction in Vienna and with Else Bongers in Berlin. She/it gave her/its/their debut at the Hamburg chamber-games as Christine in Liebelei. in 1967, she/it got a commitment in Aachen.
1968 to 1973, she/it worked at the Düsseldorfer playhouse where among other things she/it played this Gretchen into Faust I and the Helena in Faust II. From 1973 to 1975, she/it worked at the state-theater Hanover. in 1975, she/it was the Célimène in the misanthropist at the playhouse Hamburg. in 1976/77, she/it worked again in Düsseldorf and after it at the state-theater Stuttgart. in 1985, she/it went to Bremen and was 1986/87 engaged at the Bavarian state-drama in Munich.
Since then, Johanna Liebeneiner is freelance and became evident from 1989 with egenen theater-productions. She/it was cross-mountain to see in numerous television series like scene of the crime and darling. In the series, palace-hotel Orth heard her/it/them to the trunk-cast as a hotel-manager Doris Haller. In addition, she/it gives reading-evenings and coacht offspring-actors. In the summer 2007, she/it plays u.a. the role of the Iokaste (Sophokles): King Oedipus, in the framework of the Trierer antiquity-festivals.
Johanna Liebeneiner was married to the cameraman Michael Thiele. A son comes from this marriage, peace-man Thiele, who also is an actor.
