Quite a fan of the Pike's Peak Race in Colorado. There was a program about it a short while ago on British Television featuring the British bike rider Guy Martin giving a go.. Dangerous as f**k but mesmerizing. If I was a bit/lot younger I would love to have given that a bash. I like motorbikes, even if they're effin' dangerous.
The Isle of Man TT races are the same, absolutely insane, dangerous, Adrenalin shot fueled madness. But as someone short once remarked:"I feel the need for speed".

Targa Tasmania is an event I'd like to have a go at.

Pike's Peak is now paved all the way to the top, and the road is open to the public all year round, so if you get to Colorado Springs, you can have a go.

Maybe not quite full on motor sport but the small Herefordshire country town of Bromyard held their inaugural speed festival on Sunday 3rd April. Even made it onto Midlands BBC news.

I hate that non Australians like v8 supercar. You only like it because it's a novelty. It hadn't yet reached a popularity amongst fans searching for something they're not getting in series more relevant to them.

It's a shit series, with shit people and shit drivers, and it quite rightly deserves it's place amongst the Australian sporting hierarchy below netball.

The new motorsport season in the UK really moves up a couple of gears this weekend.

Big events are:

World Endurance Championship series at Silverstone

British Touring Car Championship at Donington Park

British GT Championship at Brands Hatch

Hopeful of a strong performance from the new Ford GT's with Andy Priaulx on the team with which I have very tenuous links

Meanwhile I will be at a much more sedate A/B license speed hillclimb in Shropshire.

Idk how big the GTs are over there. But it's interesting to note that there are two bigger motorsport events in the same weekend in England. It must have something to do with England being a bigger country and having a bigger motorsport scene?

You should've seen how troppo fans here went when the knobs at v8 supercar deliberately rescheduled an open pre-season test at Eastern Creek the same weekend as the Bathurst 12 hour.

That's as maybe, but I still enjoy it just as I like all forms of tin top racing. The cars lok fun to drive, and a little lapse in driving standards just makes it all the more interesting. I really love the V8Utes, the driving standards in that are amazing at times.....

That's alright. I'm having a rant. Shits me that the series is modelling itself on NASCAR. They kind of divide the fans down here. There's a committed bunch, and others who get pissed off with how arrogant it gets.

It had the Australian GP schedule on it's site. It listed the F1 sessions, including the race, as "support categories"

edit: autocorrect change "shits" to "suits"
