I'm brand new to this site (just got confirmed today) and I have about 130 old black and white pictures of girls and porn that I have colored for myself. In addition I have colored a number of old images for the family running up to 100+ years old. I will gladly do some coloring for anyone (I'm retired and have a lot of time on my hands) just realize that there's a limited amount of time in the day and my schedule doesn't allow me to work on this all day. I am including several examples of my work, I trust many of you will recognize the originals. (I'm pretty new at this, so I hope the images get through ok). Please note: the originals are much larger, I cut them down cause I thought I needed to for this display.

Smile Color for Spooled

Hey, spooled, this one's for you. Hope bruno86 doesn't mind that I stole his thunder, but I like working on lovely ladies. This one goes in my collection too. If you want any color changes, let me know (red background, yellow shirt, etc.). Note: I cleaned off that line at the bottom, it looked like an old picture border. Let me know if you like that change.

Red face Finished pictures for mlorenc

Hi again. I've been off line for the last 18 hours because a fierce thunderstorm cut off my internet access point. Maybe affected more than just mine because the post office said their system was belly up. Anyway, below are the two finished pictures for mlorenc. I'd like to point out that this is a 'erotic' site and putting three pictures of fully dressed women on a request seems out of the ordinary. I'd really rather get a nude to do. But, they are good looking women, and they are women.
Bruno: P.S. is a shorthand term for 'post script' meaning notes after the main body of the message. As for how I get them, a new tool called snipping in Win7, but as with the first pict I did, some are too big and need to be imported in two pieces then patched together in my processing.
No, I don't use MSN and am not familiar with the other terms you used. It seems to me there may be a back door method of communicating on this site since I see a 'private message waiting' button at the top of the home page. I don't know how to use it though.
Finally, the results you've all been waiting for:

Thumbs up Colorizing debate

While we're waiting for something else to come up, I'd like to weigh in on the colorizing debate. Yes, many times artists/photographers/directors chose to make their medium in black and white, and I respect those choices. However, you need to realize that choice was not always available. Before the 1930's, there was no such thing as color film. Even when color became available, it was not used because of the expense, it was a lot more costly than b&w. During the 40's, 50's and 60's, most magazines that would publish nudes (and many others like 'Life') were b&w. A photographer who was a businessman chose to reduce his cost since the finished product was going to be monochrome anyway.
Another reason for chosing b&w over color was the range of the film. Color film would only show clearly one f-stop above and below the setting of the camera while b&w would provide discrimination to plus and minus 3 stops. If you're shooting in the sun, with well lit areas and very dark shadows, b&w was the medium of choice; you could see thing in the picture which color film would not capture. So often, the use of b&w was a technical limitation, one of necessity.
I remember reading one time that color films were offered during the very early 1900's. Their production was as a plain b&w, then someone sat down and colorized each frame of the film individually, and had to do so for many copies of the film. Despite the obvious expense, these films made money because people would pay a premium to see them.
I have colored some old family pictures including one of my great-grandmother which was probably taken around 1890, and my family loves it My mother, who died last year in her 90's enjoyed seeing the old pictures renewed in color.

Did not know this group was in VEF. Posted these pics in Cheryl ladd and Elizabeth Montgomery groups, but thought they may be of interest here.

Default It must be Tuesday

Hi demsal.
exemplary work as usual, my friend.

I was wondering if you could color the 1st image below, while i wait for copies of the slides to arrive.
Just posted this on B.Bee's thread, so it's a 'next to first' for the net.

You can dispense with the writing if you please.
On the right is another from the set, for comparison.
Although she changed the blue denim shorts for this stripey affair

Edit: Just added another low res image from this set, this time in the shorts.

No hurry. Take your time.

Smile Cindy Lafon aka Linda Davis

@TheZip - the three images of your top heavy brunette are completed and ready below. No problems except that I didn't realize until I got to it that the last one was so large. That kind of size takes extra time but results in a clear image. Regarding your allowance to "slip them back," I always do everything in the order they were submitted to me except in rare cases when I decide to move things around (happened twice that I remember). Apparently you've created a new fan of ishy137, he seems quite infatuated with this doll. Let me know if you want anything changed.

561 images colored since May 23rd

@ishy137 - your three images are next in line. Note that I always see the details of any picture, it's part of the job, and those heels just stood out even without any color. However, regarding your new requests, I think I recognize all three and can put names to two of them. The first, which you identified as Sheilagh Harrison is actually Hannah Viek, an eastern European model from the 70's and 80's who has a thread here: http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/showthread.php?t=4774
The second, although I recognize her I cannot put a name to the face but believe I have several pictures I will look up later. The last I might recognize from an old 1980 movie called Taboo in which she had a sex scene with Dorothy LeMay and a guy while they were studing for school. I located the thread and found that her name in the scene list is Tawny Pearl. Another possibility for her is in a movie called Frat House (also billed as Tawny Pearl) where her breasts were distinctive, I believe there is a thread here that calls them Misslie Boobs. Taking that logo off the second is not going to be a problem, I do harder problems all the time.
@malakon - good work! I do however have a problem with the Elizabeth Montgomery image in that you let the color from the polar bear pelt stray over into her hair. There is also a distinct line where the pelt color ends and the background begins, it should be faded in. For your information, there are lots of posts here where I give some pointers on how to do some colorizing. Three that address the hair problem are as shown below:
http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/showpost.php?p=1133485&postcount=122 Mel Appleby
http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/showpost.php?p=1467512&postcount=564 Brigitte Bardot
http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/showpost.php?p=1421789&postcount=508 Recolor Visitor99
I would suggest you read these but be aware that correcting the hair is a labor intensive job and requires lots of patience.
@blondifan - hi guy, welcome back from the dark corners of the planet and thanks for the compliment. Your image of Miss Blondi Bee is in the pipeline and should be done in a day or two. Removing text such as that should be fairly easy, it's hard when it overlaps part of the image you want to save. And you're assuming the shorts are denim blue. Probably a good guess but I try to avoid automatic assignments such as that.
@polartrade - you've got two choices now, more of Sophia or shift your attention to Janet Omes. Make a wish!

Unhappy malakon feedback

@demsal8 - thanks. Appreciate the constructive criticism. Elizabeth's hair was not a result of bleed through but a failed attempt to give the hair some colour, that needs rework. also the shoes were not edged well. I will try and fix it and post it again, and welcome your feedback.

On Cheryl, can you give me any pointers on how to make the body colour not look so monochromatic and flat. I started looking at other colour studio shot flesh tones for examples and considered doing some colour highlighting - I assume its really just a question of artistic effort at that point.

my experience is in faking images not colourizing b/w (did you see the link to the Cheryl Ladd fake in my post ?) but not of the celeb head on a random bodyshot variety, but rather on altering existing celeb shot as realistically as possible to create a photo-realistic nude of the original shot. I also prefer bunny mag type shots to hardcore poses. I have posted quite a few in the fake group of VEF.

thanks, Malakon.
