Favourite Vehicles
What is your favourite vehicle ?It can be anything car, motorbike, tractor etc.I have chosen an aeroplaneThe Sopwith F1 biplane, known to the men who flew it and to posterity as The Sopwith Camel.
The camel was tricky and dangerous to fly but once mastered it could kill anything in the sky.

I had a 360, absolute bag of shite! I now have an Aston Martin DB9 and I love every bit of it. The only problem is that 1 year after I bought it, they brought out the DBS which is just that little bit better. But hey...where do you stop.

I`m not a big car fan, but I love aeroplanes, especially WW-2 planes. My favourite is Junkers-87, better known as Stuka. Why? Because of that horrible noise caused by "Jericho trumpets" when it dived, It showed same kind of imagination as Scottish armies with bagpipes causing fear and terror among enemy troops, remarkable plane.
For transportation I prefer bicycle: Last edited by Futuro; August 19th, 2009 at 11:55 AM.. Reason: "bagpipe", not "backpipe"! |

Supermarine Spitfire
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xh2W4C00FZ0 This clip is amusing but also conveys something of this aircraft's unique presence, possibly the most beautiful of killing machines. I can never hear the noise of a Merlin engine without a stirring of emotions: it is an engineering masterpiece and a symphony of Britain's national defiance in her darkest moment. It is 20 years since I saw a Spitfire flying and even the RAF's own Battle of Britain Flight specimin hardly ever flies any more. But if you ever see one in the air it is a deathbed memory, never ever forgotten.
