Comic character first appearing in a Zorro comic book. The TV trope wiki page for Lady Rawhide gives just enough info about the character to explain her without overdoing it. Unfortunately, most of the good sized pics available on the internet show the later 2013-ongoing version of her. In the original issues she did not fight so many women, it wasn't a much of a 'cheese cake factory' as it is now - pics below are all from the current version, alas...

She's been around so long that she is in the public domain (partly because she started out in the pulps, only later becoming a comic-book character...) Of course, her costume has changed considerably since her pulp origins

Modesty started out as a newspaper strip in the UK in the 1960s and then appeared in several prose novels. The strip ran until the early 2000s. There was a 1960s movie, but it was Modesty in name only and is pretty terrible.
