Your Zoey/Megan suggestion was posted on the morning of March 14, and my response was posted shortly after.

It looks like the Original Poster edited the post on the afternoon of March 14; removing the "mystery" picture and substituting a string of alpha characters. Without the "mystery" photo, the request was rendered moot.

Pepper II moved the thread to the Model ID trash bin on the evening of March 14.

ok, that's a good point to not disable it, but it makes me wonder - cause we have a similar setting inside MIR : some members can't start threads (based on 150 thanks rule) but they can post to threads. imho it should be possible to do the same for the mystery corner - for all member groups beside mods. but I'm actually not sure what those members who are blocked from starting threads see - do they see the start thread button and run into the same problem i had with the mystery corner - do they see a different "function lock" button - or do they see no start thread button at all...

if Jenny or Sam can reset the PW for my "new member test account" (hos_foo) and send me a short note to my main account, i can test that.

I have a thread that I have been searching alot for the answers.One member gave me what I thought is the girl I'm looking for, but it isn't.

Do I have permission to "Unsolve" my thread or could a mod do it for me?

Once a request has been "Solved" we Mods do some work behind the scenes in the Hall of Fame thread. So we have to go back and delete our HOF record if a "Solve" is challenges and/or reversed.

I have changed the thread title of your MIR to reflect the challenge.

From ignorance with love: as far as I understood it, no automatic system/daemon/algorythm/script prevents you from starting threads in MIR with less than 150 thanks. You just get moderated the hell out of you afterwards.

All members would still see the "new thread" button. The blocking of those with fewer than 150 'Thanks' is accomplished by the forum software and as we have seen some newly registered members have slipped through the net and started new request threads.

Just a "heads-up" that due to prior commitments, I too, will be absent from 17:00 (Mountain Daylight Time) on Friday, March 18 until 11:00 AM on Saturday. I then have a couple of hours to Mod, before leaving again at 13:00. I expect to be back at 17:00, and will not go astray again until Pepper II gets back on Monday.

Since the Mod squad will be short-handed, my focus on Saturday morning will be on checking posts for compliance with VEF Forum rules, and Model ID Section rules. I will then get to work on the "solves", and expect that things will be back to normal by Sunday morning.
