Back in my teenage years....

I grew up on what was my grandfathers farm. When I walked to school, or to my grandparents house, or to the little store in town to buy a coke or candy bar, I walked across an open field, about an acre or so, next to my aunt and uncles house. One day my aunt decided to get into raising dogs. So, my uncle had that field enclosed in a chain link fence so the dogs would have an area to run around in. Well when they did that, it took out the shortcut to school and my grand parents house. Now I was having to walk an extra hundred yards or so. I figured out one day that I could jump that fence flat footed...the fence was about 3 foot high...by placing my hand on the top of it for balance, and simply jumping. My uncle didn't care as long as we didn't climb onto the fence. If I tried that now, I would get skewered by the prongs sticking up from the top of the fence.
