ul troubles with Packupload

I'd imagine their inundated with messages which would either mean no response or slow response

If you read their filehost spiel their a small outfit at best


Just tried another file with ad-block plus and no script on
-hung for awhile before the red message appeared



Came back 10 minutes later with ad-block plus turned off but no script still on
and allowed everything temporarily on the page...had to do it several times



Worked straight away - coincidence or just timing?

I've said this before but with filehosts that have no premium option if you dont support them by turning off ad-blockers and clicking on the ads their performance will slowly deteriorate as more and more is uploaded to their servers

I'm betting the use of automatic downloaders will eventually kill their business model

1fichier now offering a premium option and reduced premium download speeds to free users

I've had issues with packupload for nearly a year. I had trouble uploading with them mostly to the point I gave up.

I used to really like them and hope they get it together again. But most of the time when I go back, it's more of the same.

This and the 1fichier discussion thread right now show why it's never a great idea to go solely with one server for uploading.

If anybody is having trouble grabbing anything I uploaded to packupload, just send me a pm and I'll replace it as quickly as possible.

Packupload.com seems to have disappeared wef 18 Feb 2014, I just get the message, 'IE cannot display the webpage' but clicking on 'diagnose connection problems' shows that nothing is wrong! Let's hope this is just a temporary problem.

Two sets of files from Packupload downloaded overnight in JDownloader. Has anyone tried uploading to them ? My files are usually around the 1GB, so was hoping to see if anyone else had any luck b4 trying one that size.

Packupload is back again after their most recent "hiatus", but uploading still does not work. And even worse than that, over 200 of my files were deleted. Methinks there will be a massive purging of files, as they try to free up some space. They haven't changed any of the file retention terms on their site, but if they want to stick around, that's likely to change...

The warning signs for hosts like packupload & 1fichier etc have already been and gone

One of the first free hosts to go on a deleting spree to keep their model alive was

Should tell most uploading large volumes to such hosts is a short term fix
but then depending on the content 30-90 days is all you can really bank on
as a free user.

I've still got 8 files on PU which take up very little bandwidth so most likely will survive for years...whether the host does is another matter.

Too many files especially large ones that arent all that active will get deleted
if costs / protecting profits become an issue.

Didn't think it necessary to start a new thread for DL issues with this host so...

Can anyone download from Packupload?

I wait the 5-15 seconds for the download button to become active, click it, and then nothing for 5-10 seconds. Then I get a page that says "You must wait befor downloading this file."

I've tried on FF and IE with no addons. Nothing works.

It's link(s) that were uploaded before all their problems a few months ago, though it's random, some work some don't.
