Smile Recommend a good recent film

Hi there.
I though this might be a good thread for those of you that have seen the latest releases of films that have just come out in the last two months or even longer ago. Have you seen the latest and last Harry Potter film? Did you see any of the Oscar-nominated/winning films like The Queen's Speech or Black Swan?

Let us know what you would recommend for a good recent film night out but please remember try not to use too many spoilers or at least give us a warning first. Thanks. GM

I have seen The King's Speech and would heartily recommend it,the only objection I would have is the casting Of Guy Pearce as Bertie's older brother,When(sorry Ladies)He is clearly younger than Colin Firth.Other than that,if there is anyone left Who hasn't seen it,give it a go,Moving, life-affirming and very entertaining.

I Saw the Devil

Great flick! Well told story with quite a fair amount of blood! Also naked Japanese or Korean chicks (can't remember which) never hurts!

I really created this thread for current or forthcoming films so please keep to the subject but thanks for your input anyway.

Horrible Bosses and Bad Teacher are a couple of new releases I would recommend. Both are raunchy comedies, but if I had to pick just one I'd go with the former.

Also I just watched Inception for the second time. This is one of those movies you have to watch at least twice to appreciate/understand it. It's all over HBO right now if anyone's interested.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2

First, know that I'm 100% Dumbledork.I love this series from the books, to the movies, to all the internet info available.

9.5 out of 10

Went to the midnight showing, and again the next day.I'd say second best of all eight films. The third, Prisoner of Azkaban being my favorite.

The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is because it felt a tad bit rushed. If a movie is going to take two parts to complete, it should take it's time, and completely satisfy. There was horror, comedy, action, sadness, suspense, and drama.Best of all, there was pay off.People who read the books will probably have enjoyed the movie more, but from an "only movie fan" standpoint, it might have been confusing in parts, but still enjoyable.
Voldemort gets the most screen time than in any other film, and you get to see how much of a whack job he really is.Besides being evil, he's nuts-ala Ledger's Joker.
Granted, I was among the hard core fans at midnight, but I heard crying, laughing, and at times it was so silent, I felt self conscious eating popcorn.A movie that can control a crowd like that is a winner.I can't wait to see it again.

I would definitely recommend Inception and for those of you with satellite television it is to be shown next month on Sky Premiere channels 301 & 302.

Yes, as the thread title stated, "recomment a good film"-I would recommend Paperman with Jeff Daniels and Lisa Kudrow. It came out in 2010 and we just caught it on Pay Per View. If you're patient and like layers, and were once young and stupid or lost in life now- it will grab you. Captain Excellent will help you get through it...

Definitely recommending Horrible Bosses...... Jennifer aniston is both funny and very provocatively sexy in it, and the rest of the plot and script is worthy for a good laugh. 9/10.

Also need to put down anyone recommending HP&TDHpt2. Such an anti climax after so much build up...!!! 6/10.
