Anyone having problems with uploading to Pimp & Host?
Everything has been fine for years but suddenly as of this morning when I went to post some pics I had cleaned up,Uploading is disabled!

I have been using p&h for many years, and have always noticed that their servers "choke" easily. I don't know if it is due to low capacity, or if they intentionally "throttle" uploads that exceed certain parameters. It is a pain, and the only reason I continue to use them is that they never, ever, delete one of my uploaded images (unless they receive a dcma notice from a rights holder).

In any event . . . it doesn't matter if you are using the p&h plug-in embedded in the VEF forum software (the blue "Browse" button), or if you have a registered account with p&h and sign-in to upload . . . .

p&h has always had a problem handing more than 8 or 10 images at a time; particularly when the total upload exceeds 10mb. Most often you will see the "processing" notification running in a seemingly endless loop, and if you were uploading 12 images you may at times see an indication that p&h is chewing away on 30 or more files.

There are times when the p&h plug-in vanishes from the VEF "Quick Reply" box, but is still visible and active if you click on the "Go Advanced" button. At other times (when p&h is doing maintenance of is having server problems) it vanishes completely. Since this plug-in is controlled by p&h, there is nothing VEF can do about it.

There was a time (many years ago) when VEF and p&h were owned by the same person, and the decision to embed the p&h plug-in probably made good sense. Given the very old version of v-Bulletin software that VEF uses, and the many patches that are required to keep it running, I suspect that it would be very difficult to substitute some other up-loader to replace the p&h plug-in.

I notice a problem now with Imagebam.
Clicking one of their thumbs opens a tab, spins a while, then says connection timed out.
New images and 6 month old images too.
Been going on for 30 minutes

Windows 10 on comcast using firefox

Yup, same here. isitdownrightnow.com says the site is down for everyone, not just us. Looks like they've had other outages recently as well.

EDIT 5 minutes latter - and now it's back up!
