Could be; one couldn't say without hearing you. A relative of mine lived at times in the US and Australia, and picked up aspects of those accents to add to her NZ one, but the result was not an evening- or averaging-out of all the various accents.

It's a bit like those people who fantasise that if there were enough relationships and offspring between whites & people of colour we might all somehow turn mocha, or something. That's not how genes work, either.

It used to take considerable elocution lessons for broadcasters in the UK to develop so-called neutral/received/whatever accents. And I think now they pretty much don't bother?
