No one uses limewire any more. With the speed we get now days from the internet you can download a full album from a blog site or torrent in the same amount of time it took to download one song off limewire a few years ago. And even if you just wanted one song youtube can provided that now, with the added feature of being able to preview it first. Limewire might have been the in thing 5+ years ago but it is now antiquated and think those new to the internet with lack of knowledge on these matters would be the only ones using it.

They do but they are not the sort of people that should be out in public or have internet access at all, because of the nature of what they share. People have moved on from P2P in the most part these days. Most people use file hosts as they are quicker and safer and are easier to find as a novice. The P2P users these days are either new to the net or are the hardcore scene guys who are behind multiple protective security layers and doing it to stick it to the industries moaning about piracy. If I was using a file host based in America then I would be more worried as I am sure they would be first targeted and uploaders may get a knock on the door whenthey are grassed up by the host. I doubt they will ever sut down foreign based hosts like RS though and even if they did I guarantee more would spring up overnight. They are never going to stop it no matter how hard they try unless they shut down the net completely. Even then people will still share it will just be the old fashioned way where 1 guy buys a cd and 20 of his mates get a copy for nothing. If they went that far they might cut it but it will never stop it.

on the music download front... i often dl the youtube video, then convert it to mp3. then i have both the video to watch, and music for my ipod. many artists today simply offer their albums free inside a sunday newspaper anyway, knowing it will be dl'ed for free mostly, so they might as well take a few quid from the publishers of said paper, in return for promoting their cd as a free giveaway......

as for porn movies... i used to be in the business, and know all the cheats and scams involved, and the underground piracy that used to go on all the time. for a matter of interest, anyone who paid £50 for a blue movie from a sex shop about ten yrs back, youd be shocked to hear they only cost us £7 to produce, including buying the master in the first place, hence the reason u would get big discounts if you brought a few films each time you went into such an establishment..... and so i dont feel the slightest bit guilty ive not paid for any porn in years, simply dl it off the web, when and if i want it.

only thing i pay for is my internet connection, the occasional gig (the last one being green day, last october in bham, it was mind blowingly brilliant), and the occasional issue of nuts or zoo..... depending how much i want to see a certain girl naked... though often they can be posted either here, or other such forums, before ive even had chance to go out and purchase the actual mag....??!!! just my opinion.

HOME TAPING IS KILLING MUSIC! remember that? No it didn't you twats. If someone gave me a cassette with an album I liked I go out and buy it. And the same applies today, but to a lesser degree. Music/film/porn people are greedy. And now they are paying the price.

It's simple, drop the price of a CD/DVD.

Anyway the quality of MP3 is dreadful. To me, the MP3 file format is the equivalent of the compact cassette to the vinyl record. It's small, convenient but you cannot reproduce the full sonic quality of a CD.

Today's modern 'MP3' players have huge amounts of memory capacity and manufacturers claim that you can put huge amounts of music on it but why not change the player into one than play a higher quality sound file? like a lossless format? I reckon you would only want to store around a hundred hours of music on a player which is around 90 albums. So why not improve3 the quality not the quantity?

Slight drift in thread but I think it's relevant.
