Fyansford Hotel One of may favorite pubs Don't go there much anymore, But we did today Located about 4 or 5 KM from Mums and Dads place, Dad would go there sometimes and as a kid, I'd tag along, and from time too time as a kid he'd slip a quick sip of beer from his glass A big thrill for a 10 year old I guess As many of ya could probably understand That's why It's one of my favorites. Anyway, Dad and I went there today for a quick lunch (burger and chips) and a beer, Love the place, has a perfect balance of town and country feel, as it should considering it's location Took these 2 pics when we were leaving

The Bingley Arms, Bardsey North Yorks.
We went to Wetherby today and on the way back to Leeds called at the Bingley Arms in the picturesque village of Bardsey (just off the A58 Leeds-Wetherby road).
The oldest pub in England, over 1000 years old and was a pub when the Vikings were roaming the country. http://www.bingleyarms.co.uk/ Excellent beer and very nice food. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bingley_Arms

The Jerusalem Tavern, Farringdon in London
I like to go to this pub when I'm in the area. Near Farringdon station in a small back street, Britton Street, it has all the appearance of an old inn; the 1720 above the door would suggest such. Named after the local but long gone Priory of St John of Jerusalem, and serving great beer from the St Peters Brewery in Suffolk, the building really does date from 1720, but the pub was only fitted out in the 1990s. Retro 18th c. in a way. Gets a bit crowded on a friday with the after work crowd from all the local media, web, architecture, advertising, pr etc companies, but none the worse for that.

Batesford Hotel My sentimental Favorite Hotel, Also known as Dog Rocks Hotel and The Derwent Hotel in the past We had lunch here today and also a few beers with Dad The reason it's my sentimental favorite is very simple, it's literally in spear chuck distance from Mum's and Dad's. In other words I grew up here and many a time Mum sent me down the pub to drag Dad out as it was dinner time I spent many a Sunday afternoon here sobering up after the previous Saturday night out drinking session Had my first beer here as a kid, Thanks dad Also first time I illegally bought beer, helps if ya knew the owners And many a time did we buy beer and walk about 1 km up to the Dog Rocks, sit in the sun, talk shit and just get drunk, ain't nothing like being home

Damn Warlocks Bikie Club Scum Deserved A Bigger Beating
The Carlton Hotel Located almost bang in the center of my hometown. Went there this afternoon to catch up a few mates and a few quiet beers This place was once a complete dive, I only add it to my favorites as today was the 1st time I've been in there in 14 years. !4 years ago I had the honor of being thrown out for life after starting a brawl But owners have changed hands and my exclusion is now null and void One of my mates bought that incident up before we went for a drink so chose there for a laugh, But has that owner fixed it up Used to be a real dive and a basic pub with no class

True story
If anybody is ever unlucky enough to find themselves in Norwich then you couldn't do worse than visit this pub.
Oh and I mean that in a truly sarcastic sense As it specialises in only three things Pig ugly barmaids , Pints priced twenty percent higher than anywhere else within a ten mile radius , Plus if a third of the patrons haven't been glassed of an evening the police consider it a quiet night

Shakespeare's in San Diego
I've mentioned another pub in town for it's support of the Men's and Women's US National teams - and it's close to where I live. Another one that I like to go to when watching EPL games is SHAKESPEARES PUB & GRILLE. I've been a Gunner supporter since the early 2000s, thanks to Mark Zeigler, and this pub supports all of the teams, has a friendly staff, and the food is something that I like - I can't speak to the alcoholic beverages, but they do have a lot of them - my niece and her husband (Liverpool, bah!) both like a number of the beers.

I was in the England and Guernsey Arms at St Sampsons harbour on Christmas Eve. Bit of a dive and spit & sawdust but it fulfilled a need. Sorry no pics as I came away a bit the worse for wear. One of those pubs without much furniture to cram more punters in.
