My guess is another unreported nut case.

Those of you who remember the sweets of your childhood in this country will be thrilled to know that Barratts (not the homes builder) are relaunching British classics like Refreshers, Dib-Dabs(sherbet and a lolly on a stick) and Sherbet fountains again( the one that had a stick liquorice inside a mound of sherbet)

Not sure but I think Autumn has returned, it very wet and cold out and still chilly at night.

I'd be more thrilled if they started up the football cards in boxes of candy sticks (formerly sweet cigarettes) again.
Incidentally, if you believe these companies don't withold certain cards, Barratt/Bassett certainly did. One set of 50 is actually a set of 49 because one didn't even exist.

Remember doing the swaps in the playground? There was a war series in the early sixties, and some of those cards were allegedly banned, I remember on had a German tank driving over a man, so how graphic must the allegedly banned cards have been?

I remember getting cards in PG Tips boxes and an album but yes I also remember cards in boxes of sweet cigarettes - nowadays it is stickers - but the same could be said of Panini football stickers because you always had gaps despite swapping with your friends. When I was young my Dad came home with two boxes of Soccer Stars 77-78 stickers and I ended up with hundreds of swaps - I believe he knew someone who had a load of them, but I still ended up with gaps. I must admit for 1982 World Cup I did nick a fair few packets from a newsagent for which I am still remorseful this day but I was young and stupid back then and no CCTV was around back then.

Admittedly, football card collecting ois one of my hobbies. Don't do much of it nowadays though. I still collect panini stickers for tournaments but haven't yet bothered with the Russia album. My main love was bubblegum cards from the 70s. First A&BC, then Topps took over. Also collected fks stickers till panini blew them away. It's probably been two years since I've looked at any of them though. I'm tempted to hit ebay to add some collections. Anyone interested in bringing back memories ought to check Nigel's Webspace. It's a pretty detailed site.

Remind me again, which small Northern Regiment has had 2CDS(would have been 3 if one adn't of been blocked by the politicians) and 2CGS in the last 20 years. Same one that in the early 90's was a full coy overstrength when the Southern Bn's were badly lacking recruits.
Let me guess.....Bloodnok's own-the 3rd Disgusting Fusiliers?

Or as Tony Hancock observed of Sid James when they were reminiscing about the War in 'The Reunion Party' that he was probably in the "Kings' own Glasshouse Deserters" (Hancock was in the Third East Cheam Light Horse)

When I was a kid in the 70's, we used to trade these things:
