Kevin, you know more about Australia than I do. I've never heard of the place.

I found it just by accident. I was looking in the internet for names of Australian cities with long names and instead of getting that these articles for places(not necessarily cities) with extremely long names popped up, and this strange looking hill with this name with 26 letters was shown (among others). The name comes from the local Pitjantjatjara language. It translates into "where the devil urinates".

Meanwhile back to the real news
Victorian police officers have called for new pants after reporting their current uniforms are splitting at the crotch when they are trying to arrest people.
"Many have reported that the pants split at the crotch easily, and are particularly prone to do so when executing a common arrest technique." http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-11-1...n-says/9140920 disclaimer - this isnt fake news just pure comedy Police Academy 10 - Down Under Last edited by buttsie; November 16th, 2017 at 12:22 AM.. I live on the southwestern shore of Lake Michigan. There are no whales in Lake Michigan. Whales like so many other sea mammals must live in sea water, because the heavy salt concentration of sea water provides buoyancy which these huge mammals require.

Talking of lakes...
If I lived in Aus, I would attempt to solve the mystery of Lake George N.S.W.
Sometimes it holds water, sometimes it doesn't - for long periods either way. But no one is quite sure where the water comes from or where it goes to. Bit of a mystery for geologists and hydrologists over the years. As you can see, when I was there only a few small ponds to be seen. |
