My favourite for regular drinking is Highland Park but I have always had a liking for a Dalmore as a special occasion whisky. The problem is that it is getting more and more expensive the more aged it gets.
I understand the Dalmore Constellation 1976 is a particularly fine dram but I will need to wait until I win the lottery before I can sample it as a bottle costs around £9,500. |

Aberlour used to be nicely priced but has shot up lately - for me to a price it does not merit.
I am puzzled why the own brand supermarket single malts in Sainsbury and Tesco are around £20, but Waitrose's are the same as a brand. Why? Point of discussion. A friend with a better palate thinks that Sainsbury's own brand Highland Single Malt is Glenfarclas. |
