How is it possible (and legal) in the USA to get... working poors?

Are there no laws that protect the decency of the workers? A minimum salary that gives them to have a decent flat, an everyday good meal, a healthy basic way of life?
Is there nothing written in your Constitution?

Nope. When it comes to providing for oneself, the constitution leaves it to the individual.

There are more than a few people here who work part time jobs at Walmart and live in their cars. It's not a good situation. Housing continues to be a serious problem. Even where I live, if you are stuck with a minimum wage level job, the rent on a fairly crummy apartment is going to eat up probably half of your pay - at least. Single people can get roommates and double up on a two-bedroom place, but if you have a family, it gets tougher.

You may be be interested in reading this book, in which a journalist goes undercover and lives "proletariat-style" to see what things are like in the USA for the working poor:

https://www.amazon.com/Nickel-Dimed-.../dp/0312626681

Granted, most of these people you see depicted in the book are woefully ignorant and not intelligent by any stretch of the imagination, but it's still not a good situation.

Default Democrats urge Senator Franken to quit amid groping claims

More than 10 US Democratic senators have called on US Senator Al Franken to resign amid sexual misconduct claims.

In separate statements released almost simultaneously on Wednesday, a group of Democratic lawmakers said the embattled Minnesota senator must step down.

Mr Franken, a former Saturday Night Live comedian, has been accused of groping and sexually harassing seven women, including a US military veteran.

Mr Franken has apologised to his accusers, but disputes some claims.

Senators Kamala Harris, Claire McCaskill, Maggie Hassan, Mazie Hirono, Patty Murray, Kirsten Gillibrand - all prominent female Democratic lawmakers - released their statements online following a US media report that he allegedly attempted to forcibly kiss a former congressional aide in 2006. He denied the claim.

Senators Tammy Baldwin, Bob Casey, Joe Donnelly, Debbie Stabenow, and Sherrod Brown released similar statements shortly after.

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren also told Mr Franken he should quit, her aide told the Boston Globe.

Me smells a wicked plot on the Dem's part with Franken. By doing this they can self righteously call for any and all R's to do so too.

The Dems' calling on the Republicans to do anything over the past 17 years has resulted in squat.

What it does do is demonstrate that the Democratic party takes women seriously, and a lot of the white women who voted Trump may start having second thoughts, especially with 2018 elections coming up.

What's the Dem media message if Roy Moore gets elected? Republican's elect known pedophiles to the U.S. Senate, Democrats hold their own accountable.

Default House Republicans at it again...

Why would they want to allow someone to carry concealed weapons into a state that has laws against that?

House GOP’s gun bill vote could fracture bipartisan coalition on background checks

Quote:
Rare bipartisan consensus around legislation to improve the national background check system for gun purchases is in jeopardy after House Republicans linked the measure to a bill allowing gun owners to carry concealed weapons across state lines.
The House is expected to vote and pass the combination bill Wednesday over the objections of House Democrats, who accused Republicans of “trickery” and “sabotage” in tying the background checks bill to a concealed-carry measure the National Rifle Association called its “highest legislative priority.”
In the Senate, Democrats have labeled the concealed-carry legislation a nonstarter, while leading Senate Republicans cautioned that pairing the bills is a recipe for the demise of both.
“When you put them together, it makes it harder for us to do what we can do, and can do now,” said Sen. John Cornyn (R-Tex.), the Senate’s No. 2 Republican and a co-author of the background checks legislation. “I want to separate those two out, get the “fix NICS” bill passed, and hopefully save some lives.”

CCW holders commit crimes at a lower rate than policemen. http://www.dailywire.com/news/8255/r...-aaron-bandler These are the people you want armed in your communities.

There are lawsuits right now in areas that basically do not issue CCWs. The right of a CCW holder to carry out of their area into these areas is the question being fought over. One of the arguments I have seen in this discussion is that Philando Castile - a CCW holder - would not have been killed if he did not tell the police officer he was a CCW holder. That is pretty much an insane argument, a CCW holder legally having a holstered weapon tells a police officer he has a weapon and is murdered by said officer. Because someone who never should have been a police officer in the first place murders a CCW holder, CCW holders should not be allowed. This is a joke to the gun owning community.

Wicked plot? How about a recognition that the times have changed and many voters are no longer willing to condone aberrant behavior in their elected officials. The Republicans claim to be the party defending moral values, but appear prepared to support the Marquis de Sade if it would gain them a Senate seat.

I'm unfamiliar with the term "CCW" - but I suspect this is linked with the following bit of news:

US House votes to expand concealed carry gun rights

The House of Representatives has voted to allow gun owners to carry concealed weapons between states, accomplishing a decades-long firearms lobby goal.

The Republican-controlled chamber passed the bill by 231-198, in their first major gun legislation since a 2012 Connecticut school massacre.

Republicans said the bill would allow gun owners to travel without having to worry about conflicting state laws.

The measure will need a handful of Democrats' support to pass the Senate.

To make the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act more palatable, Republicans have included measures to strengthen the national background check system.

The legislation would also mandate a study of "bump stock" rapid fire devices, used in October's mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Though Wednesday's vote in the House was largely along party lines, six Democrats crossed the aisle to back the bill.

Chris Cox, executive director of the National Rifle Association, hailed the vote as "a watershed moment" and the culmination of 30 years of lobbying.

But opponents said it would trample on laws in some states with tighter restrictions on carrying loaded guns in public, such as New York and California.

It would permit those with concealed-carry certificates to bring a gun into any state that allows concealed weapons, even where the standards for granting such permits vary widely.
