It's not difficult to dispute a source such as IMDB, which is made up of folks
just like everyone here, that get their information in the same exact places that we all do. It's also not hard to have doubts when something is spread around by word of mouth like a dirty little secret, be it on the internet or in everyday life. But when a viable source such as sister Playmate Charlotte Kemp confirms that those rumors weren't rumors and that the unbelievable is true.....it's very very difficult to dispute that. I'd like to apologize to you, Mad_Hatter.......not for disputing your source of information......but for apparently making you feel as if it was you yourself that was disputed. Your sincerity, as I said before, was never doubted. Lynda's smile, in death as in life, will be with us forever. |

Sadly, Lynda did pass away on December 1 of last year. She had brain cancer, and specifically and inoperable tumor in her brain stem. If you look at Lynda's Facebook page you will see an entry from her last year in which she states this very fact. I own PP&G Collectibles and through my business know and have become friends with hundreds of Playmates. Several of them have also confirmed Lynda's passing. While I can't speak to the authenticity of the picture of the headstone, I can say this.....who cares if it is real or not? A very sweet and beautiful woman has in fact passed away from a horrible disease. Try concentrating on that and not on beating up the guy that posted the photo.

is that not a single bit of this was confirmed until the past couple of days. It all came out of left field....not a few days after Lynda's passing, but 6 full months! To many of us that's the same as someone coming up and telling you that a family member had passed away, and you couldn't go to the funeral because it was 6 MONTHS ago. If you think that there's not a sense of loss and pain, and yes......disbelief......then you're sadly mistaken. |

Anyway, I take no pleasure in being right. I sincerely hoped I was wrong. She was one of my favorites- I remember getting her autograph at a "World of Wheels" car show. Grimlock and jogo, thank you for the information and the sad confirmation. |

I've just checked the database America's Obituaries and Death Notices. No matches there for anyone named Wiesmeier, for the entire years of 2011, 2012, and the first four months of 2013.

I do have a question for you bigbob, especially since you were so quick to comment on my "beat up" statement. Could you please tell me where exactly I said in my statement that there wasn't a sense of loss or pain? If you're going to be so particular about what people say you might want to be more careful about what you say to them. I NEVER said the fans here weren't hurt or shocked and I never would say that. I simply felt the need to come to the defense of someone that was clearly trying to help and was rewarded with questions and skepticism. Yes, when something is posted on the internet it should be approached with caution and questioning it without authentication is understandable. I'm not saying any different. What I also wanted to do was help those of you that were unsure about Lynda's passing so that you could accept it and honor her in what ever way you chose. I'd also like to ask you, what makes you think that I'M not hurting over her passing. The fact is that Lynda and I were friends. Best friends? Hardly. But through our business relationship I had developed a friendship with her. She was an EXTREMELY sweet and loving woman and I was proud to call her my friend. If her death came out of left field and hurt you, imagine what it did to me. I knew she was sick. I knew she didn't have a lot of time left on this planet. So when my calls and emails stopped getting returned and eventually her phone number stopped working all together, imagine how scared I was. I had to accept, like you, without confirmation the fact that my friend my have lost her battle with this disease. When Charlotte told me that my fears were true, I was crushed. Lynda deserved better. She was a great person, loving mom and wonderful friend. I will ALWAYS miss her. So know that you are NOT alone and I DO know what the fans are feeling. My intent was simply to get the focus off of the silly conversation about the legitimacy of the head stone photo and pass along the information that I had so all of you could get past your disbelief and accept that she was gone. For you to imply I didn't know there was a sense of hurt, loss and disbelief was incorrect, just like I was with the "beat up" comment. |

you're all wrong!
I'm only joking folks, I just felt like saying that.
about a month ago, a buddy texted me and said that Ace Frehley from KISS had died. then another buddy called me and said the same thing. so I told a buddy, and he told a buddy... anyway, an hour later the original person that told me said it wasn't true. what does this have to do with our girl Lynda? nothing really, but I think you can tell where I'm going with this. seems like all of you have your fingers on the pulse of this news, so to speak. give it some time, and eventually we'll all be satisfied in knowing. first off, doesn't that headstone look more like a Civil War veteran's grave?? maybe Lynda is reading this thread right now and having a laugh. or maybe she and Ace Frehley are hanging out right now, working and collaborating on their next album! after all, isn't it all about the boobs! btw, nice stitching job on the image masque! |
