Lone Wolf - Abaddon Books
This is a book I bought a few weeks ago ( when I had a normal life ) I have been reading it in the last day , and its a wonderful read - Based on the 2000ad Comic Judge Dredd series , when the Judges were brand new and before the Atomic War - and Dredd was not born . Lesbian Journal by Erica Lom
Been reading this last night , to take my mind off my Hassles - and its so far not too bad a read , with for the first time for Lesbian Journal - 3 x internal full-page Art Drawings of the scenes in the book anyway , I post this for Dear Brecht - as I know how much you like this type of intellectual book |

Just finished "The Catcher in the Rye" because I've seen it mentioned in so many films and it's so evident in social history that I thought I needed to read it.
I want the time back that I invested in it. It's shite. Thankfully Salinger was such an awkward sod about rights that we haven't been subjected to a film of this overrated dross. c.o. Last edited by casualobserver; September 23rd, 2018 at 09:19 PM.. Reason: spelling |

Currently reading Mythos by Stephen Fry. A drier take on Greek mythology than I'm used to but enjoyable. A second volume is expected.

I had the same experience with Lewis Grassic Gibbon - Sunset Song
I see its been voted the ' best Scottish Novel ' , in a BBC Scotland Poll - in 2016 what a joke - I did not like reading it for my Higher English - and ended up reading a different book and quoting that instead , and got my Pass - it was dire . Sunset Song was a terrible book to read . |

You want postwar edgy, "The Blackboard Jungle" is better. I think in modern times Holden Caulfield would have been a school shooter.
