Default Skyrim Beyond Bruma!

Oh glory day!!!

I am still in awe and disbelief at the staggering level of work and effort that fans have put into creating new content for RPG games. Content that is free no less, it's insane.

Skyrim Beyond Bruma is the crowning pinnacle of fan-created mods. Beyond the fact that Skyrim was re-released with remastered graphics, there are now mods like this that are adding continent-sized map playing areas to the original game and adding thousands of hours of gameplay. The Skyrim map is virtually becoming an open-ended world in which you can endlessly add new dungeons, locations, quests, and storylines. An adventure that you can keep adding to unto infinity.

This is something that PC and console gamers couldn't even conceive or dream of 20, even 15 or 10 years ago.

For me Skyrim has become an immersive RPG world of unlimited possibilities.

The map area of Beyond Bruma is HUGE. HUGE. The map is nearly as large as the original Skyrim map itself. It has a new capital city, hundreds of square miles of territory, hundreds of new dungeons, ruins, towns, and settlements. You can spend days of real gaming time getting lost in Beyond Bruma and totally forget that you're playing Skyrim. It's a mod that is big enough to almost stand on its own as a complete game.

I have started over half a dozen characters and each one can take a path so unique and so individual from the others that the world feels totally organic and real.

The best experience you can have in the world of modded Skyrim is to simply pick a direction and wander! Just wake up and go out into the world! Don't make a plan, don't have a strategy, don't focus on how you're going to level your skills most efficiently. Just go out and EXPLORE!!!

Interesting.
I haven't been doing much mods in Skyrim, except a few that is related to characters, alternate starts and the UI mod.

Is this mod you're talking about compatible with the new edition?
Or do I have to fire up the 'old' Skyrim?

Going to stay in F4 a bit longer, though

I loved Morrowind and played it to death! I didn't think the followup would have had so much more involved in it. Skyrim beats everything that came before it, then the mods came out and it just went to the next level.

Recently got the updated Xbox One version pretty cheap so thats going to have to take up every waking minute once more.

Currently playing through Resident Evil 7, was aiming to have it completed before halloween but damn it looks like i have a few more hours left on it to complete it.

Beyond Bruma is only compatible with Skyrim Special Edition, the remastered version that came out in late 2016. It can be used with PC or Xbox One but as far as I know it will not be made compatible with or available for PS4.

It can't be used with the older, standard Skyrim unfortunately. I'm also pretty sure that Beyond Bruma isn't compatible with Xbox 360 or PS3, there were too many processing/coding issues and graphical issues to cross the gap between generations of consoles.

Sometimes you hit a moment in a game where you wonder what the hell the creators were thinking about. Games should challenge you but also entertain you. I'm at a section in Wolfenstein 2 where I would cheerfully ram the head of any one of the creative team full pelt through my tv screen. If I've tried to get through it over fifty times I wouldn't be surprised.

Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs

Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZV6Fwx_Sf4

Conceptually the same like the Penumbra games and Amnesia: Dark Descent: Walk around, read letters and notes, solve (more or less) puzzles, get scared.

If you like the atmosphere of Dark Descent, tweaked with a better story, slightly better graphics and monster design, try A Machine For Pigs.

If you like games focused on interaction and puzzle solving, stay with the Penumbra series. Unfortunately there is not much to do in A Machine For Pigs.

Now playing Borderlands 2 in True Vault Hunter mode...
OMG!!!
To say it it is much more difficult is an understatement.
I am currently at level 40 and I am still trying to upgrade my weapons cache as the better ones from the first play though aren't cutting it at all.

As stated in this thread, I've been playing a *lot* of Fallout4 lately.

But now I had to do something else, so I'm back in one of my trusted ships in
Elite Dangerous - Horizons.

I sometimes wonder why I like this game so much, since it's got every ingredient for being boring, but it's not. I really enjoy travelling around our galaxy. When there's no fighting, it's quite meditative

L.A. Noire (2011/17)

Bought it two days ago but didn't have the time to play until now. I never owned a PS3, so this is my first time playing this game. Looks very promising so far and I've already solved my first case. Good graphics, story, gameplay, atmosphere and music.
