I was quite nervous early on because it seemed Fulham were getting all of the bounces to go their way. Thank goodness Sessegnon pulled his shot wide and Mitrovic was just a smidge offside (at least it looked like he was).

Great play to spring Salah down the right side for the opening goal.

MU looked out classed against City. I was glad to see Pep chastising Sterling for that showboating he did right at the end of the game.

He will available to play from Jan 2019.
When I saw his quote about teaming up with MP again I just believed it was his agent fishing but it appears Nasri will undergo a medical at the club, with a view to an end of season contract and an extension if his form warrants it.

Rather close offside call and they are now saying ball was moving when keeper took free kick, Salah goal would not have stood, with both Ref and assistant running away from goal and not watching restart, had Var been in operation would have been sorted.

Meanwhile, back on planet Championship, Sheff Utd's inability to beat the Wendies opens the door for er, Norwich who are improving like billy-o to continue their surge to the top of the table.
In-form Derby are promptly thumped at home by Villa whilst erstwhile leaders Leads travel to WBA and demonstrate that having 70% possession and supporters who sing non-stop is all very well, but having a squad without a decent spine (keeper/centre half and striker) will get you found out eventually. Without anyone to score goals, we are going to promise way more than we deliver. I'd love to see Defoe taken on loan in January, but £80k a week says he won't be.

It's still the most interesting, constantly fluctuating league in Europe although I did see that Barca managed to lose at home to Real Betis this weekend...
A great player, gentleman and also someone who knew the game inside and out. Also Graham Taylor. Instead we keep being sadded with Alan Green. Why oh why ?

As for the Copa Libertadores first leg it ended up 2-2. My heart is with River fabulous history, players most of whom are unknown in Europe and probably the best academy in the world until the last couple of years.

The game itself was error strewn, no silky passing moves and quite direct. This is the sad reality of Argentine and indeed South American football. The best kids are hoovered up and off to Europe before you can say La Maquina (the creators of total football long before Rinus Michels was around) and that is almost every six months given many leagues in South America are split still into the opening Apertura and closing Clausura season.

Nonetheless River will be kicking themselves for squandering several chances especially early on. Exequiel Palacios unfortunately on his way to Real Madrid played well below par.

Nasri now a Hammer on 95k per week, six month contract with an option to extend.
Although still banned can train with the squad and available for selection from January, just hope MP and the monkeys know what they are doing. Bennie McCarthy springs to mind.

Similar Result though Vic ....~ imo

Ball-Rolling ? Huh..... are you saying Liverpool stole the game ?
This is Micro-Observation Gone Wild !

Anyway...I hope you are Happy with Nasri. Good player, but always feels enabled to not be tackled and protected from tackles from Refs.

Always disliked the pr@tt....

Nasri is, by all accounts, a one-man disruption squad; Footstep might be able to confirm this but I seem to recall that he was wildly unpopular with his team mates when a member of the French international squad? I wonder if he's going to be more trouble than he's worth and in the grand tradition of WHU marquee signings, several seasons past his peak. I suspect a car-crash.

There's been something of a shift in my appreciation of how greulling a football season is. Obviously I know the schedule and have followed the PL in particular for a long time. But this is the first year I've have access to the type of coverage you guys in England get, whereas previously I'd go out of my way to watch a timely Everton game or key match up.

Tottenham in particular have been a point of interest. I watch the game against Man City, which was in a feature time slot,, and that is still pretty fresh in my mind. I was aware of the cup game against WH, then I'm watching them against wolves on goal rush.

Obviously players don't play all games, but I was thinking how demanding it is to get up for most of them if you're a player? The workload Pochettino has?

Kind of did my head in, and I'm just an observer!

What a liberty expecting PL clubs to cough up £5 mill for Scudamore, its not like he needs the money, unlike grass roots footie.
