Back when i was little somewhere between 1989 -1991 my grandparents owned a horse, to me the horse looked like a giant. I got to ride on that horse, those were great memories so i do like horses.

I'm allergic to them. Also allergic to dogs, cats and a few other animal and plants things too. Have to get injections weekly.

EDIT: with this awesome tidbit, I have now have 100 posts and have become a senior member of VEF.

Ever see the horses during trooping the colour? Well I still laugh at the nappies they wear stop them crapping on the mall.

Question A moment of animal welfare

Just trying to sound morbid. "I'm so different from others. I'm so weird."

How can anyone eat such a beautiful and intelligent animal? A horse is not just a pack animal, a transportation tool or a hobby. It's a friend and deserves to be treated as such. Yes, I sound pathetic but I'm deadly serious.
My aunt (who got a big farm) told me that horses are far less intelligent than cows...
And pigs probably are the most intelligent animals in the farm.

So why do we eat cows and pigs?

By the way, horse meat is in some areas more and more popular.

Be "vegetariano-vegan".

Well.... I like bacon! But you're right, pigs are very intelligent mammals. Maybe too intelligent to let themselves be used for transportation and heavy work, so we eat them in retaliation.

The entire history of mankind is a history of wars, movement and migrations. The horse plays an important role here and that's probably why man is attached to it like to a companion rather than a farm animal.
