I was never quite that bad - I quite happily bought a DVD player, when VHS was still around and relatively popular.

I'm probably going to hold out until the bitter end (or until the TV packs it in) before I get the HD gear. I just can't see the point of buying another TV when I've got a perfectly good widescreen TV already that has an excellent picture, or getting a Blu-Ray player to go with the HD TV when I have an excellent home cinema system already.

shame SACD deemed commercial failure too. remember hearing demo of this with 'orinoco flow' by enya and being really impressed. liked look of subsequent models too more in my price range. sony always made attractive kit. til recent anyway.

Hi Roaduck, nice equipment list.

Just curious why you have the Sugden when you already have a Krell?
I'm not hating on the Sugden, but that Krell is a fantastic piece of equipment.
Do you use the Sugden for movies / casual listening?
Do you like the sound of mixing the VTL with the solid state Krell?
The VTL might sound better with my Audio Research D-70.

bit about fate of XRCD and JVC. think this was first 'netbook' and really fancied one at time though cost prohibitive as thjey say.
