It won't get any easier in Europe and I suspect that some games could be difficult, but it will be more difficult if Liverpool don't sign some new players because other clubs will do and we will need to keep up next season. Not sure playing SydneyFC on Wednesday is a good idea unless Klopp's intends to use some of his other players and rest the bigger names.
You could almost see the tension in the crowd the longer it went 0-0 and Arsenal had already scored.

I think the referee made the correct call and didn't call a penalty when the Boro player went down in the Liverpool box. He looked like he changed his course and initiated the contact then embellished it a little looking for the call.

That Wijnaldum strike opened everything up. Coutinho's free kick was brilliant and then everyone could relax a little.

I saw that SydneyFC match on the advertising board and wondered why they would schedule an international trip that close to the end of the season.

But well done Liverpool making it to Champions League. Certainly made it interesting this season.

Default Arsenal the team that keeps giving

their fans headaches

Missing the top 4 was a given

Their Captain/ top defender being red carded in the last game to miss the FA Cup final

reads like a bad movie script

The sadist in me wants the FA and all other football organisations to introduce retroactive punishment for diving, especially if a game has been won by a penalty or free-kick awarded for the dive.

Not just for the player, and not a direct fine to the club.

Oh no. That's too soft.

I would like to see the result of any game won by a goal from a penalty or free-kick reversed, whatever the consequences for the club.

So the team that won a cup (whether FA cup, League cup (or whatever it's called this season), Champion's League, Europa League, European Championship, World Cup, Divisional Champinship, Promotion etc. would then lose it and it would be given to the opposition.

Of course, this could only be done with clear diving that the ref., Lines-people or extra officials couldn't see at the time.

Aren't I evil?

I suppose this could be lessened to cancellation of the goal that was scored as a result of the dive, whatever the consequences for the club.

I've said it before but I am really hoping Chelsea wipe the floor with arsenal on Saturday but I wonder if there's a small percentage of arsenal fans who are thinking the same as it is there only chance to get rid of him. I think two down at half-time and a third not long after could make for an interesting last half hour of implosion.

To those of you who follow the championship. What do you guys think of Aaron Mooy, and where do you think he'd fit in the premier league?

He probably needs to leave City so he can get some game time as its the only way to find out if he is good enough but not sure PL clubs will pay the asking price of 10 mill. Other than that its just another season on loan at a Championship club, I don't see City loaning him to a PL club.

The opinion here is that he could fit in and be an effective player anywhere except the top tier of the PL. From Everton down.

He's one of numerous players that might be decent in the PL, but until they've done it in one of the top 5 leagues it's pure speculation. £10m is a daft amount to spend on someone so unproven, and there are many in similar position who have much more youth on their side. At 26 years old, it would be a huge gamble.

Liverpool finishing fourth and celebrating as if they'd won something, who do they think they are, Arsenal? Are Lincoln Red Imps lining up their next victims?

The market value of Aaron Mooy according to transfermarkt was £850K in February, so what has he done subsequently to now be worth over 11 times as much?
